SAVKAT installs residential solar, and its website pitches the company against "call centers, subcontractors, and companies that disappear after the sale." The company says it has been in business nine years. Its Connecticut home improvement contractor registration, held by SAVKAT INC, is active on the state registry, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, held by Savkat, Inc, is active on the state registry. A 2025 customer said the install happened in one day, with the crew clearing snow off the roof, and that the installers cleaned up after themselves. A 2025 customer whose system went in that summer said Jordan Bernstein, the lead project manager, kept them updated on progress and delays, and that the project was completed over a month ahead of their required date. A 2023 customer said their existing 200-amp panel had to be relocated and that they got a brand-new panel. A 2024 Reddit commenter who went with Savkat said they wanted a company that was not subbing out the electrical, and that the system was installed in one day. A recent customer whose system was installed in December 2025 says it still does not work correctly and that it is nearly impossible to get the company to respond to service requests. A recent customer said the installers left wire clippings, trash and stainless lags in the yard, and that the trench crew showed up with zero notice. A recent customer whose system went in in February 2019 said the owner, Mr. Salansky, refused to replace a warranty part, and that Savkat called to book the work within a few days of their contacting the state's consumer protection office. A 2024 customer said the system took seven months after they were told 8 weeks to 3 months.

We have them installed solar on our home we have had a few problems since then but for the last month we have had no service no return phone calls no return emails absolutely no response from host I called this morning and left a message and told them if I did not hear from them by 3:00 p.m. today I will be calling the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection
we had trip verdi and he is amazing, we think of him as a family member, he's always ther when you need him and as far as the company they do not disapoint, thier so clen and professional.
Since my install was completed ,and paid in full ,this company has been absent to any problems ! A part under warranty needed to be replaced ,SunPower who was monitoring my system at the time informed me of this problem ,they stated the installer would do the replacement while they would supply the part ! The owner Mr.Salansky refused telling me SunPower would do it . To make a long story short I had to contact the State of Ct.Consumer protection and spoke to Mr.Pero .Within a few days Savkat called to make an appointment for the work ! Now I have another glitch ,called Savkat 9 days ago twice and no response ! So you decide if this is the kind of company you want to do business with !The install was February 2019 and the system is great it’s just the installer that’s the problem !
Trip our sales person was very knowledgeable and very understanding of our needs. He listened to all of our worries and what we hoped to gain with putting solar on our house. We have been through this before and know it does take time because there are a lot of steps to go through but every time I called Trip he was there for us. Our system is ready to go but we are waiting on final inspection and then national grid to put the 2 way meter and then hopefully the sun stays out. I also would like to add that Ben i think might be a project boss, Miguel one of their electricians, Steve an electrical contractor and the guys that did the panels on the roof all did a very good job. Thank you to all of them
We have had Sav Kat Solar for over 4 years. The company reps were knowledgeable, professional, & very responsive to any inquiries that we had. The entire process from the initial sale to the actual system installation was seamless. Our panel configuration more than covers our daily usage. We have recommended Sav-Kat to neighbors & family. The best part is receiving our monthly statement from the power company which states “No Payment Required”.
