Scott Salzman's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 169256, is expired on the state registry. In a 2020 review, a customer who had bought a neglected house with peeling, discolored paint said Scott Salzman and his team, Adrian and Micah, took the project on last minute, did three layers of paint including a special primer, hand sanded the entire house and completed the job in 17 days. That 2020 customer said the quote was much less than other professionals in the area, and that they also repaired and shined the gutters for a small price. In a 2024 review, a customer said Scott gave a clear estimate, visited their home at least twice a day to check on the work, and gave the job a final check. That 2024 customer said the team of Freddy, Jonathan and Teo was on the job from 8:30 am until about 6:30 pm and put displaced outside items back as they were. In a 2025 review, a customer said "the guys" came on time, repaired a fair amount of drywall, cleaned up after every shift, and gave a reasonable quote with no hidden surprises. In a 2026 review, a customer wrote: "Called my child's phone and then threatened me!" In a 2018 review, a customer called the contractor "a rip-off" while writing "Probably great work".

Called my child's phone and then threatened me! Clearly not a normal person!
Highly recommended! The guys did a great job on my house, they came on time, were very courteous and hard working. There was a fair amount of drywall that had to be repaired and it was all done smoothly. They were very thorough and did a great job of cleaning up after every shift. All my rooms look beautiful! The quote was reasonable and no hidden surprises. Would definitely hire them again.
Three things distinguish Scott Salzman Painting from other painting services we have hired in our area: meticulous prepping, frequent progress checks, and a well-trained painting team who do high quality work. Scott gave us a clear estimate for the job, visited our home at least twice a day to check on the work done, and gave the job a final check to see that everything was done to his satisfaction and to ours. Our team (Freddy, Jonathan, and Teo) were early on the job at 8:30 am and late to leave at ca. 6:30 pm. They were courteous, careful, and mindful of the importance of cleaning up and seeing that all displaced outside items were replaced as they were. We give Scott Salzman Painting our highest recommendation! Anne and Bruce Aune
Scott Salzman and his team (Adrian and Micah) took on our project last minute when most painters told us to expect serious delays. His quote was much less than other professionals in the area. Fortunately, we did not have to sacrifice quality! The guys did three layers of paint including a special primer. What really amazed me was that they hand sanded the entire house, so the finish is perfectly smooth! The guys were really nice, chill, and unobtrusive. They completed this painting marathon in 17 days, which I found very impressive considering the size and condition of the house. All of our neighbors were amazed! Our house is the talk of the town. Amazing aesthetic improvement for a relatively small price. I would highly recommend Scott’s team! I bought a house that had been neglected. The paint was peeling and discolored. Half of the house was banana cream yellow from sun exposure, and the shade side was a nasty scrambled egg yellow. A significant portion of the siding was rotten. Not only did they make the house look new, they repaired and shined my gutters for a small price. I am so relieved to avoid the expense of replacing the gutters!
Wouldn't recommend this contractor to anyone. Probably great work but a rip-off. Try anyone else!
