Secured Environments LLC is a Cambridge pest control and wildlife removal company that says it has served the Greater Boston area, the South Shore and Providence, RI for 40 years, and lists a handful of trade credentials on its own site — GREENPRO, Sentricon, QualityPro, an Associate Certified Entomologist affiliation, and Readers'/Community's Choice awards from 2021 through 2025. The two written reviews on file, though, are both strongly negative. A recent review described a bed bug treatment where the technician arrived two hours late, sprayed for only six minutes, and skipped the inspection step the company's own website lists as part of its process — bite-detecting interceptors placed under the bed showed only some spots had actually been treated, and several baseboards were never sprayed at all. In a 2025 review, a condo association described a disorganized experience trying to get a straight answer about organic pest-control options, saying staff gave contradictory answers and became defensive when the contradiction was raised, and it ultimately took its business elsewhere. There's no positive account on file to weigh against these. The sample is small — just two reviews — but both describe specific, concrete problems rather than vague dissatisfaction. Anyone considering this company should ask directly how an inspection and treatment will be documented before work begins. Given the record so far, it's hard to recommend this business without seeing more evidence that what these two reviews describe isn't typical.
Absolutely atrocious. They came two hours late, and refused to walk me through what they were going to do in my home, where and what they would spray. Spraying for bed bugs took them 6 minutes. Six. I had interceptors on the bed and only some of them turned yellow (from the poison) meaning crucial parts of the bed weren't even sprayed!!! They didn't even spray all of the baseboards. It was wild seeing the negligence and incompetence. They missed multiple critical steps they commit to as part of their service, include #2 on their website, "Inspect", they did not inspect the property at all, and #3 on their website "Identify", they did not identify the root cause of the problem. I'm still left in the dark. And when I called to get more info from customer service, a rude manager intervened on the call and told me to stop asking them questions. They wouldn't even disclose what poison they use, so I can know how long its residual effect is! Complete ripoff and shoddy business practices.
YUCK. These folks were hired by our condo’s management office and it seems to be a disfuncional business and a toxic work environment: one person says one thing, another says something else, and another gets upset when we mention the contradiction! We just want to know our options regarding "organic" pest control in our particular situation, that's all. We tried talking to the owner to ask about our options and it was a massive waiste of time—only non-answers came out of the mouth of this condescending lady. Oh well, we’ll take our business elsewhere 🤷
