Ask around Dorchester for a stuck boiler or a furnace that won't start, and one name keeps coming up in Service Right's reviews: Jolly. The company, based in Dorchester and serving Boston, says it brings over 25 years of HVAC experience to residential and light-commercial furnace, boiler, heat pump and water-heater work, with 24/7 emergency service and upfront by-the-job pricing. Across 19 reviews collected from 2023 to 2025 on Angi, HomeAdvisor and the BBB, the technician customers actually deal with — Lycastain Ashman, known to them as Jolly — gets named again and again. In a 2024 review, a homeowner described him diagnosing a ruptured boiler tank within 30 minutes of the call, then returning the next morning with the part to finish the repair himself. Others writing in 2023 described him walking through the readings and the fix before starting, and working around a tight budget on a water-heater repair. BuildZoom's permit records back that up: two Massachusetts jobs pulled in September 2025, a $24,979 commercial mini-split install and a $74,299 residential job installing two water heaters, two AC systems and two furnaces, both recorded complete and code-compliant. Not every account is glowing. In an early-2023 Angi review, a customer said the company disassembled a Navien combination boiler and couldn't put it back together, leaving the home messy; Service Right posted a long reply disputing that account. Worth asking about directly, too, is the company's history — HomeAdvisor's own page states both '20 years of experience' and '27 years of experience' for the same listing, the website says 25, and BBB's incorporation record shows the LLC was formed in 2019 with a 2014 start date. HomeAdvisor and Angi also both list the business as BBB-accredited, though BBB's own profile says it isn't. For a boiler, furnace or water-heater emergency in the Boston area, especially on an older steam or hot-water system, Service Right's reviews point to one specific person doing the work — it's worth asking upfront whether Jolly is the one showing up, and getting the company's side of the Navien complaint before handing over a similarly complex repair.
Service right was quick to respond, helpful in diagnosing and fixing the issue in one visit, and offered price concessions as needed (removed weekend surcharge). I am unable to speak to price for value because i wasn’t able to get a clear direct comparison from other service agents. Would recommend!

Jolly immediately answered my call and came out within 30 minutes to look at my leaking boiler. He diagnosed that the tank had ruptured and had created unequal pressure which was cause a leak. He didn't have the part, but called first thing the next morning with the part and a quote for the work. He arrived by 7:30 and finished the repair. He couldn't fully test that the heat was working and it by 4:30 PM it was clear that heat and hot water were not flowing. He finished his other job and was back at 6 and was able to get the hot water flowing so that heat and hot water were restored to the building. He did not charge extra for the return visit and he price was very reasonable compared to the competition
Jolly was a very experience man, he was very patient. He is knowledgeable about plumbing, radiators, how the radiators and steam boilers work together. He has lot of tricks in his sleeves :-). Willing to take matter in his hands and solve it. Because of his work in my unit, my neighbors already want to hire him for more jobs. Great work Jolly!
It was a bit on the pricier side but it definitely felt like I was getting what I paid for. The company was quick and very informative. I was told what was wrong, showed readings, explained in detail the work that needed to take place. It was great to feel so in the loop. I'd hire them again in heartbeat
