A foot of water in a crawlspace is the kind of call Set In Stone gets. A recent Google customer said Ray and his team scoped out the problem, repaired foundation damage, built drains and installed pumps, then Ray called after the post-Labor Day rains to inspect the basement and make sure it was dry. For a father's house with a leaking basement, a recent customer said Ray's contract spelled out each step: repairing a foundation crack, new gutters, a French drain next to the house, a sump pump and a dehumidifier. That customer said the team did the work on time and on budget. A recent customer said new stone stairs transformed the front entrance of the house, and a recent customer praised the rehabilitation of an oil- and rust-stained stamped concrete pool deck. A 2026 customer said Ray and his crew turned a 100+ year-old basement with crumbling walls into a space they can use. The company says it has been in business 43 years, and its website lists a service area running from Providence, Pawtucket and Woonsocket to Bristol, Barrington and Portsmouth. A 2018 customer described a stamped concrete patio and firepit around an existing pool that started and finished on time within the discussed budget. While on site, Ray diagnosed a flooded basement, that 2018 customer said, and took it from regularly under water to totally dry. A 2018 customer hired Set in Stone for a new patio, pool deck, stone outdoor kitchen, stone sitting wall and stone firepit; asked where the stone came from, Ray answered "from the ground.....when we dig them up, we use them somewhere," that 2018 customer wrote. A 2018 customer said Ray reproduced the curvature of deteriorated curved front steps. A 2020 customer said the company replaced one wall of a brick foundation and repointed the remaining walls. A 2015 customer who paid $21,300 to redo pavers around a pool said the work started a week after the agreed day and that deep cracks opened after the winter where a red line was supposed to be cut. When that 2015 customer called about the crack, he called them ignorant and told them never to call him again, the customer wrote. A 2011 customer said they took the contractor to court over a pool apron that was never built and were awarded $35000 back for the concrete work. That 2011 customer also said he went bankrupt and changed his company's name. A 2018 customer said the company did not come back for a second job.
We couldn’t be happier with the incredible work Set in Stone did on our stone stairs! They truly exceeded our expectations. The front entrance has completely transformed the look of our house — it honestly feels like a whole new home! The craftsmanship is absolutely beautiful, and the attention to detail is outstanding. From start to finish, the team was professional, friendly, responsive, and incredibly efficient. They worked quickly while making sure everything was done perfectly. We’ve received so many compliments on the new stairs, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with how they turned out. Set in Stone did an amazing job, and we would highly recommend them to anyone looking for beautiful, high-quality stonework. They completely transformed our entrance and made our home look even more amazing!
Ray and his team did exceptional work repairing a water leakage problem in the basement of my father's house. Ray carefully outlined the work needed to fix the problem in every detail in the contract including repairing the crack in the foundation, installing new gutters, installing a French drain next to the house, and putting in a sump pump and dehumidifier to remove excess humidity to the sump. Ray's team performed the work on time and on budget. Also Ray provided frequent updates on the project so we always knew where the job was in process. I would highly recommend Ray Limoges and Set in Stone for any foundation and stone work you are considering.
After the record snowfalls of last winter and the subsequent melt, we had a foot of water in our crawlspace. Ray and his team did a phenomenal job scoping out the problem, repairing foundation damage, constructing drains and installing pumps. Ray is the consummate professional, proud of his work but incredibly down to earth. He shows up when he says he will. He returns calls. Hell, after the post-Labor Day rains, he called me out of the blue, saying he needed to inspect our basement to make sure it was dry. Needless to say, everything checked out. I feel very lucky to have found Ray.
Outstanding job rehabilitating a severely oil and rust stained stamped concrete pool deck. Highly recommend.
Excellent work, high quality, professional; good communication throughout the project (major basement foundation repair and surfacing).
