On a July 2026 holiday weekend, during what the reviewer called probably the hottest day of the year, Setpoint Refrigeration took an A/C emergency call from someone who was not a customer after other companies had declined, and fixed it quickly. In another July 2026 Google review, a homeowner wrote that the company checked a home AC that was not working and removed and replaced the condenser. Setpoint Refrigeration LLC is based at 170 Scott Swamp Rd in Farmington, Connecticut, and works on home heating and cooling as well as commercial refrigeration. A November 2025 reviewer named Dave Rowe as the company's owner. It holds a 5-star Google average from 77 ratings and 5.0 stars from 8 ratings on Angi; its website says it has been in business three years, offers free estimates and 24/7 emergency service, and lists towns from Avon and Simsbury to Glastonbury, Manchester and Enfield. In June 2026 a reviewer who had used the company for a commercial building had it install central air at home and wrote that the company explained each step and kept them informed of arrival times. A January 2026 reviewer listed a full Hyper Heat install: a 3-ton, four-zone ductless system with a branch box and kumo controls. In a November 2025 review, Dave did a full maintenance check on a gas heating system that had gone at least five years without one, made minor repairs, and laid out the cost of duct work that will eventually need replacing. A January 2025 reviewer wrote that Dave fixed a boiler within two hours after the house had been without heat for three days. In June 2026 David came out the same day, after hours, to repair one of three chilling units on a printing press, and in May 2026 the company reached a walk-in cooler within one business day and made the repairs.
A quick rescue, thanks.
The service technician answered every question I threw at him in great detail. Very prompt. Very professional. Very clean. Reasonably priced. Outstanding service. Well done. Thank you.
My company has worked with Setpoint Refrigeration on a number of Commercial projects and we have had a positive experience each and every time working with Dave and his team. Systems always act up / go when you need them most and during the busiest part of the season, but Dave and his team work hard and have always done their best to get us in for system evaluations, services and installs.
My Sunday phone was promptly returned and much time was spent helping me diagnosis the issue. He even took time to request I send him a picture of the machine tag so he could help me better. I would definitely use thier services in the future. May Ehresman
Setpoint Refrigeration came to our house to check our AC that wasn't working. They removed and replaced the condenser. We feel the job was done right with quality workmanship and we highly recommend them.
