Shore Things Environmental, LLC is a Harwich wastewater contractor that has become the Lower Cape's go-to name for the one job every Cape homeowner now faces: septic pumping and repairs, Title 5 inspections, and connecting a house to the municipal sewer, from site assessment and design through permitting and construction. The review record is recent, detailed and unusually consistent about the same things - speed, tidiness and communication. In a March 2026 review a homeowner who called for an emergency pumping said the crew arrived within the hour, cleared a clog in the main waste line and put them on a two-year schedule; a January 2026 customer described an email answered by phone, a technician dispatched quickly for a septic and drain emergency, work explained as it went and 'no up sell'. The crews get named, and so does the lawn. A 2025 reviewer in Dennis wrote that technician Colin arrived with a map of the yard, measured exactly where the cover was, answered every question and even laid a tarp on the road under his truck; other 2024 and 2025 reviewers said the tank cover was found with ease, the grass went back neatly and you cannot tell where the work was done. Neighbours say the same thing in public. In an April 2026 Nextdoor thread asking which septic company was actually taking new business, residents in Brewster, Eastham, South Chatham and Orleans all named Shore Things, one adding that the company responded immediately to a service request. Before booking, note that this is a specialist rather than a general contractor: it is the right call for septic, sewer connection and drain work and for the Title 5 paperwork around a sale, and the company itself offers a free consultation. Municipal records show its septic installer approval being presented to Cape boards of health, so ask which town approvals are current for your address.

I called for an emergency pumping and they showed up with in an hour I had the lid dug up and ready for them they were friendly and efficient pumped the tank and removed a clog in the main waste line I have scheduled for them to do the pumping every 2 years so we don't have this problem again.
Shore Things is awesome. I highly recommend their services. They responded to our email with a phone call and dispatched someone quickly to address our septic/drain emergency. They alerted us when they were on the way to our home and arrived as scheduled. The repair work was done expertly and quickly. All work was explained to us. Go-forward suggestions were given. There was No up sell. The price was very fair, the work professional and communication excellent. We will use Shore Things again.
