Silco Painting Restoration and cleaning services

Claudemir has now painted two homes for the same family, a July 2026 customer wrote. In a 2023 review, another homeowner had him paint and make minor repairs to both the house they were selling and the condo they were moving into. Silco is a Medford company — a husband-and-family team, as a March 2021 reviewer described it — and its site says it has been at this since 2002. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #219937, is active on the state registry in the company's name. On Angi, whose profile is mirrored on HomeAdvisor, it carries 4.9 stars from 18 reviews; Google shows 5 stars from six ratings. The written accounts reach back to 2009. What customers describe is the prep. In a February 2021 review, a homeowner who hired Silco to paint a room and a closet wrote that he sanded and primed, helped replace a baseboard and caulked the small cracks in the trim before any paint went on. A February 2022 customer brought him in for touch-ups and left with his ideas for other problems around the house. A March 2021 reviewer mentioned shoes off and a good cleanup afterwards; an August 2021 review described an on-time start and finish. The cleaning side is a real second line of work. A March 2022 customer had a large apartment cleaned, dog hair and all, and a May 2021 review describes a post-move deep clean done with attention to detail at what the customer called a fair price. An October 2021 reviewer dealt with Andreia and put the cost in line with other cleaners in the area. The oldest accounts, from 2009, describe a recurring clean every three weeks. Price is where reviewers push back. An August 2021 customer wrote that he was expensive compared with what he paid in 2013 — almost four times — on a job that also covered repairing broken vinyl siding and replacing 2x4s on the deck rails, and praised the quality anyway. A February 2021 reviewer thought it was a little pricey at first and decided it was worth it once she saw the work, though she wished they had spent a little more time on her bathroom. For interior and exterior painting around Medford and Greater Boston, where the sanding, priming and trim repairs matter as much as the color, this is a small family shop that also takes cleaning work. Ask for the quote itemized before the job, and walk the smaller rooms with them so the time budget is agreed up front.
