That customer said the house used to reach 90 degrees on hot days, the job ran from a new condenser to all new duct work, and the basement was left cleaner than when they showed up. Silver City Furnace Company describes itself as providing HVAC services, including air conditioner repair, air conditioning installation and furnace and air conditioning maintenance, to homes and businesses throughout Central Connecticut. It lists its service area as Meriden, Wallingford, Southington, Cheshire, Durham and Berlin, and says it has been in business 50 years. Its BBB page is an A+ and lists it as accredited. A recent customer described a third job with the company: a new gas boiler the first time, a gas furnace and central air replacement the second, and a central air repair and recharge this time, and said prices have always been reasonable. One customer had a gas furnace and central air replaced at a condo and a new boiler, hot water and central air full install at a new house, and called the prices fair. Ethan is the new owner, according to a recent Google customer who had a new unit installed. In a 2022 review, a customer said they installed a natural gas furnace and a new air conditioning system, showed up early each day, and that the owner wrote up a blueprint for upgrading the house from an all-electric system. A 2021 customer said John had their furnace running two days earlier than expected after learning a new circuit board would not come until Monday. A 2022 customer said an older worker could not complete the service and did not go into the attic to replace the filter or check the unit, saying he had a bad knee. A 2021 customer said they left a clear message and never got a response. A 2021 reviewer wrote that none of their calls to the company listed on their furnace were returned.
