A refrigerator water line that leaked unnoticed is the kind of job Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialists takes on. The company says it has been in business 55 years and offers 24/7 emergency service, and it holds 4.8 stars from 90 Google ratings. A recent customer whose refrigerator water line leaked described the job in stages: a first crew removed the affected flooring and wallboards, painted the subfloor with a mold-resistant paint and set up heavy-duty fans to dry everything out. That customer said project manager Justin P. guided them through the repair, the Single Source crew removed and replaced all of the cabinets and painted the walls, and a flooring subcontractor sanded, stained and coated the floors. The same customer said there were minor glitches along the way, and that if something didn't look right, they re-did it. A recent customer with water damage in a condo from January's blizzard said everything went according to plan and they accommodated the customer's work schedule. A recent customer who works as a contractor said the roof was well done, with ice and water-shield, flashing and venting done properly, and that the final cost came in as estimated. A recent customer got 4 quotes before selecting Single Source and said Eric was very detailed with responses. Local news sites have described school districts bringing the company in to clean up water damage and to eliminate mold. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 204225, is expired on the state registry.
“But Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialists , the company the district hired to clean up the water damage reports they’ll need five days to dry out the affected areas of the school.”
“Auger said in his message to the community that the district is working closely with Vortex and Warwick-based Single Source Disaster Recovery Specialists to eliminate the mold.”
Shane and his crew were amazing to work with!
Amazing Job!!! Eric Troob and crew was great. Got 4 quotes before selecting Single Source. Eric was straight to the point, very detailed with responses and very knowledgeable. Would use them again and refer them.
I’m a contractor but I don’t do roofs. If you want to get on my good side just return my call or text. It’s what I hear from every customer that hires me: “You returned my call!”, like it’s a miracle. Single Source has excellent communication from top (management) to the ground troops that sweat it out. I called two other companies, one of which I had used on my previous home and who had done excellent work, only to fall into a communication black hole. The roof was well done. Ice and water-shield, flashing and venting done properly. With any roof by the time the old roof is stripped off it looks like a debris field. It’s inevitable. When the job was completed the yard was immaculate. Gardens do get roughed up a bit but nothing that time and TLC can’t take care of. The final cost? As estimated. No surprises. I recommend Single Source.
This company was phenomenal from start to finish. I had water damage in my condo from January's blizzard. Everyone from the demo crew led by a very reassuring Eric and his team, Dave, Dave and Eddie. The restoration project manager Kevin, plasterer Dave, painters (Bob and his brother), and also Matt. Everything went according to plan and they were super great about accommodating my work schedule. My condo looks better than the day I moved into it brand new. Thank you!!
Sometime last summer, a water line to our refrigerator-freezer sprung a leak; but there was no puddling visible, so we didn’t detect it right away. Eventually, the wooden floorboards to the side of the refrigerator began to buckle and we noticed that the wallboard in the hallway immediately behind the refrigerator looked odd. Bottom line: There was significant damage to the flooring, wallboards, and even the adjacent cabinetry. Upon someone’s recommendation, we contacted Single Source for an estimate of the damage and repair, and decided to use them for the job. That turned out to be a great decision! The entire job was divided into stages: The first crew came in and removed the affected flooring and wallboards, painted the subfloor with a mold-resistant paint, and then set up heavy-duty fans to dry everything out. Next was the appraisal portion, whereby the extent of the damage was assessed and a course of action was determined. Finally—and this was the longest and most extensive stage—a project manager was assigned to work with us throughout the repair process. Justin P. (there are two Justins) guided us every step of the way. He sent someone to replace the damaged wallboards behind the refrigerator so we wouldn’t have to live with a hole in the wall while waiting for the next steps. Our condo was built in 2005, so the cabinetry was old and we were unable to match new pieces with the originals; therefore, the entire kitchen had to be gutted and replaced. Justin connected us with a fabulous cabinet subcontractor, who took us to the showroom to view our options. (Since the countertops were unaffected, we didn’t have to replace them. Justin’s work crew were extremely careful when disassembling—and reassembling—the counters, to ensure that nothing was broken.) Because our condo has an open floor plan, the entire wood flooring had to be refinished—from the front walls in the living room all the way to the back hallways, closets, and pantry. And, of course, EVERYTHING had to be packed up and removed from the house. So, once Justin’s movers had emptied the living room, dining room, kitchen, and pantry, we had to move out for a while—3 1/2 weeks, actually. During the time we were out of the house, the Single Source crew removed and replaced all of our cabinets (and later installed several of the old ones in our garage to give us extra storage space), painted all of the walls, and did some other, extra work for us. A flooring subcontractor spent the better part of a week first sanding all of the floors, then staining them, and finally coating them with a polyurethane finish. We needed to remain at the hotel for several days after this step to allow the finish to cure and for the odors to dissipate. Once we returned home, the movers returned our belongings. It was overwhelming!! In addition to our furniture, we had dozens of boxes that needed to be unpacked and the contents put away. This occurred at the end of May, and we’re still dealing with the boxes. Much is being donated or discarded. Needless to say, we have TOO MUCH STUFF. There were minor glitches along the way, but Justin and his crew handled everything with care. If something didn’t look right, they re-did it. If a wall needed to be touched up, they took care of it. I truly felt that they cared about their work and about my husband and me. Would I ever want to do this again? Absolutely not!! But if I had to do it, I would definitely want Single Source at my side.
