Skillings & Sons LLC

Skillings & Sons describes itself as a third-generation, family-owned New Hampshire well company that drills residential, commercial and geothermal wells and handles well service, pump replacement, water testing and water treatment across southern NH and northeastern MA. The company says it was established in 1970 and has a team of more than 75 employees. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 1,894 ratings. One customer who woke up without water says two workers were sent within a few hours and replaced the well pump in the pouring rain. One customer says a break in the connection from the well to the main water line was fixed, photos were shown afterwards, and the bill came to about half the quoted amount. One customer had a Jaswell Seal installed for excessive Total Dissolved Solids and says John and Jack worked faster than the quote estimate on a feels-like 92-degree day. One customer says Jeff and Ernie found that a suspected pump problem was one control box and overdue maintenance on three tanks. One customer says that after a well pump and tank install, the service person said a new whole-house filter system was needed because it was leaking, and the customer then found he had loosened the housing. One customer says that after a carbon rebed the leak defense system alarm went off nonstop, and the service department said it was not their problem. A 2022 Reddit commenter wrote that when they called about a well Skillings & Sons installed, they were told they would need to spend around $35,000 to expand the well, add a well manager and drop the pump further down.
