Slick Energy, Inc.

Slick Energy is not a contractor at all — it is a Marblehead heating-oil seller, and the Better Business Bureau lists heating oil as the one thing it offers. Its BBB file says the company was incorporated on 3 January 2017 and started trading two weeks later, with five employees and Christopher S Buchanan as CEO. That same page carries no BBB rating, and gives the reason plainly: BBB has information indicating the business is no longer in business. It is not BBB accredited. The customer voice that exists is warm but old. Writing in June 2022, one long-time customer described fill reminders, scheduled delivery notices, and prompts to clear snow from the fill pipe, and said they had been a customer for three years. Another, in December 2021, described an oil delivery arriving three days early because the company piggybacked it onto an emergency run at a nearby building. A January 2022 customer credited the price and the responsiveness. Those are the whole written history — four comments, all from 2021 and 2022, nothing since. What matters most here is what the company does rather than how well it did it: delivering fuel is a commodity supply service, not home-improvement or HVAC contracting. Nobody hires Slick Energy to install, repair, or service heating equipment, and there is nothing here describing that kind of work. Anyone who reaches this page looking for a heating contractor should look elsewhere; anyone looking for an oil supplier should first confirm the company is still trading, given what BBB reports.
