Pete and Alicia are the two names attached to Smart Connections LLC, an electrical business in Storrs. Its Connecticut electrician license, ELC.0201680-E1, is active on the state registry, with SMART CONNECTIONS LLC as the holder of record. A recent customer said Peter and Alicia installed a large foyer fan on an extremely high ceiling and an EV charger outside the garage, and that they had reached out in the spring to check that the first project was still working. That customer travels for work and said Peter checked in regularly and worked around the limited times they could be home. A recent customer who has used the company for years with a partner called Pete and Alicia professional and on time. A 2026 customer who said they had used the company for about five years described an upgrade that increased the capacity of their circuit breaker box. That 2026 customer said they installed the new box and left a map of what circuit controls what. The same 2026 customer wrote that they pull permits from the town and arrange to be there when the inspector arrives, and that Pete points out projects to consider without being pushy. A 2025 customer said Pete gave a quote, scheduled and added Cat5e lines for an office and upstairs bedrooms within a few days. A 2025 customer said Pete and Alicia updated all of their smoke alarms, called the charge reasonable and said they were careful to clean up. A 2025 customer said Pete added an outside plug for a generator a few years earlier and corrected some other issues found during the process.
Another incredible experience with Smart Connections LLC—and I really can’t say enough about Peter and Alicia! Since we couldn’t leave a second review, I had to update our original one because Peter and Alicia deserve to be recognized for the incredible way they take care of their customers. What impresses us most isn’t just the exceptional quality of their work, it’s Peter and Alicia themselves. They are two of the most responsive, accommodating, thoughtful, and genuinely caring people we’ve ever worked with. They actually reached out to us this spring just to check in and make sure everything from our first project was still working perfectly. Who does that anymore?! That simple gesture speaks volumes about how much they care about their customers and stand behind their work. We ended up asking them to help with two more projects: installing a large foyer fan on an extremely high ceiling and installing an EV charger outside our garage. Once again, their workmanship was flawless, clean, organized, professional, up to code, and completed incredibly efficiently. But their customer service is what truly makes them special. I travel a lot for work, and Peter and Alicia consistently went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. Peter regularly checked in with me, stayed in communication, and worked around the limited times I could be home. They made everything incredibly easy for us from beginning to end. You can find people who do good electrical work. It is MUCH harder to find people who combine exceptional craftsmanship with this level of personal service, communication, reliability, and genuine care for their customers. After two projects, we trust Peter and Alicia completely and wouldn’t think of calling anyone else. If you need electrical work, call Smart Connections LLC. Peter and Alicia are absolutely amazing at what they do and even better at how they treat their customers. They are simply the best! Thank you again, Peter and Alicia! We truly appreciate everything you’ve done for us!
I have been using smart connections along with my partner for yrs, pete and Alicia are always very proffesional, and on time, would recommend
We have been using Smart Connections for all of our electrical needs for about 5 years now and Pete and his assistant, Alicia always do a great job! One of the things that I really like is that Pete will frequently point out projects that we should consider. He isn't pushy or trying to convince us that anything needs to be done right now. It's more like "hey, you might want to think about this." Our most recent job was increasing the capacity of our circuit breaker box. When we moved into our house 40+ years ago, we had a fuse box. We upgraded to a 100 unit circuit breaker box and for a long time, it was sufficient. But some time ago, it became apparent that if we wanted to be able to add anything else, we would need more capacity. The project was completed a week ago and they did a great job. Not only did they install the new box but they left us a map of what circuit controls what! No more guessing!! Another thing that I really like is that they are very professional. They pull permits for the job from the town and arrange to be here when the inspector arrives. They are licensed and insured. And when it is time to pay them, you pay Smart Connections, LLC. I don't like it when someone who has done a job for me says to make payment to the person, not the business. We will continue to use Smart Connections and suggest that you hire them with confidence as well!
Pete and Alicia were very professional and personable. They did a great job at updating all of our smoke alarms. The charge was reasonable and they were very careful to cleanup when they were done.
Pete came to my house after I reached out about having some Cat5e lines added for my office and upstairs bedrooms. Gave me a quote, scheduled and did the work within a few days. Fast, meticulous, and clean! Was like they were never here. Fantastic experience and I would absolutely recommend. Thanks again.
