Jim provided outstanding service from start to finish. I am anew owner and I had a million and one questions about the upkeep of my pool. He didn’t seem bothered or angered by my excessive questions. His crew was punctual, professional, and incredibly thorough. The pool has never looked this clean, and they took the time to explain everything they were doing without trying to upsell anything unnecessary. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely takes pride in their work, but it shows in every detail. If you’re looking for reliable, honest, top-quality pool service, I couldn’t recommend them more.

We can't say enough great things about Jim and Solar Pools. We had never had a pool before until we bought our house. When we ran into problems, several other companies wouldn't give us the time of day - until we met Jim. Since meeting him, we installed a new pool liner and made many upgrades with Solar Pools, all of which turned out flawlessly! We continue to use him every spring and fall to open and close our pool. I would only recommend Solar Pools to anyone who has a pool or is interested in installing one!

DO NOT HIRE JIM JANSEN / SOLAR POOLS YOU’VE BEEN WARNED I don’t normally write reviews like this, but after months of being ignored and disrespected, it’s time the public knows , especially those who recommended him as a friend, businessman and he does this , hmmmmm!!!!!!!! This is who your dealing with., very cowardly if you ask me...... In 2024, I hired Jim Jansen of Solar Pools to install a new inground liner. During that job, his team broke one of the pool lights, left it hanging in the water, wires exposed and floating like a jellyfish. Not only was it a safety hazard, but it was also a clear act of Ill just blame someone else and tell them Its not my fault , tell them ill fix it but never fix it. At first, Jim made every excuse imaginable, blamed the original installers, the equipment, the situation, everyone but himself. He even rigged the broken light back in place as a temporary “fix,” clearly just to buy time. Eventually, after exhausting all his excuses, he admitted responsibility and agreed to repair it. I have every message, every confirmation, and every promise in writing. In April 2025, Jim responded when I asked him to schedule the repair. He told me to let him know when the pool was open. I did exactly that. Since then? Radio silence. No response to texts, no returned calls. Nothing. This isn’t just poor service, t’s negligence. It’s the kind of behavior that raises serious legal and ethical concerns. Jim had every opportunity to resolve this the right way. Instead, he chose to vanish, hoping I’d go away. That was a mistake. Let this review be your warning: Jim Jansen is all smiles until something goes wrong. Then he disappears. If you're considering hiring Solar Pools, think twice. This is a great company to work with. They help me open and close my pool and Jim is a great resource whenever I have a question. Highly recommend.

Had never owned a pool before and when we got a home that had one we reached out to a number of local providers to quote a liner replacement and work out servicing. Jim responded quickly, clearly, and did exactly what he said he would as quoted. He and his crew are great, and always happy to answer our questions and offer tips. He has been a great sounding board for future improvements, like our heating options. They’ve helped make pool ownership way more hassle-free than I ever expected.
