Solara Solar describes itself on its website as a residential solar installer for Connecticut homeowners. A 2024 Reddit commenter placed it in Sandy Hook and said it "does good work." It holds 4.9 stars from 79 Google ratings, and its BBB grade is A+. One recent installation put 15 panels on the back of the roof, with none visible from the street, and that customer said the install took several hours, not days. A customer who shopped six solar companies said Solara handled and paid for the permits, the electric hookup, Eversource utility integration and the town building inspection. When that customer had a concern after the install, Solara lined up the install team at Shoreline Solar to resolve it. A recent customer said Solara did all the permitting and that Eversource found no problem at the final inspection. A 2026 customer said their 55-panel system required reconfiguring several areas of the layout, and that Quinn and Jason were willing to revisit the design until it was right. A 2025 customer said a 10 KW install took a while because of Homeowners Association approvals, and that Solara provided the additional documents the HOA required. A 2023 customer gave one star and called a salesman who has since moved on and opened his own dealership a liar. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0699186, as active, held by SOLARA SOLAR LLC.
