Sostilio & Sons Plumbing and Heating is a father-and-sons plumbing and heating contractor that has served the Framingham/MetroWest area since 1994. Reviewers consistently describe fast, often same-day response to plumbing and heating emergencies — failed water heaters, broken furnaces, burst pipes — along with clear explanations and clean work. The company installs and repairs water heaters and gas-fired boilers, handles gas piping and general plumbing repairs, and has taken on bathroom work such as toilet and tub-trim replacements. Most customers describe fair, competitive pricing and dependable service across repeat visits spanning several years. A handful of reviews from 2021 to 2023 raise billing concerns — a $750 charge for a short repair and an unexpected $175 service fee — and one 2021 reviewer reported no response after repeated calls.
We had a toilet flow valve that needed to be replaced, and a water supply hose that was stuck and a new garbage disposal that needed to get fixed. Sostilio and Sons was the only plumbing company that answered their phones, and could do work the same day. Matt was great. I had already bought the parts needed, because youtube said it was easy. It was not as easy as I had thought and they saved me a ton of time and got everything done in under an hour. Matt cleaned up, was very helpful and went above and beyond on the work. I will definitely using them again.
Great job once again today by John and his son Matt! Always friendly, knowledgeable and polite.
I found a water leak in my basement and called Sostilio & Son’s Plumbing and Heating. Mike showed up immediately and took care of the problem quickly and expertly. He explained everything clearly, walked me through what he was doing, and made sure the area was spotless before he left. Incredibly thorough, reliable, and easy to work with. Highly recommend.
Mike Sostilio is our Hero. Furnace stopped working on Friday morning. On Sunday, MA is going to get a major snowstorm with subzero temperatures starting Friday night. My two elderly parents have no heat and this was very concerning knowing who can I call on such short notice. Well I remembered John Sostilio and his son who helped me out a couple years past and they were fantastic. So I called, and this time John’s son, Mike arrived Friday, had all the parts, and fixed the furnace before sundown. My parents have heat, the ladies are pleased, and the pets are happy. Mike Sostilio is our Hero. Thank You Sostilio & Sons.
We had a heating emergency with our Navien water heater and Mike Sostilio came out first thing. He diagnosed the problem quickly and said we could repair the part in question rather than replace the whole thing. He even had all the parts on his truck to fix it! He was very clear in his explanations and took the time to help me understand the issues that were going on. He checked the whole system over carefully and made sure it was working properly before he left. The cost for all of his work was many thousands of dollars less than the other quotes I received. The heat was back on within two hours and the system is running better than ever! Mike does super high quality work, and is completely reliable, tidy, friendly, responsive, honest, and very reasonably priced. I cannot recommend Sostilio and Sons more highly. I wish every company were more like them!
