Sparta Excavation describes itself on Thumbtack as a small, hands-on team with 8 years in business, working with contractors, developers, businesses and homeowners. A recent Thumbtack customer had Sparta clear and level a spot for an above ground pool; Aris left to address an equipment problem on another project but came back and finished the same day. A recent Google review says Aris cut back tree limbs in the reviewer's driveway away from the roof and helped clear some of the brush. In a recent Google review, a customer wrote that an uneven backyard became a level yard. A recent Google reviewer says Aris removed three pine trees from the property. In 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that Sparta removed concrete from the yard and called the work fair priced. A 2025 Thumbtack review says a 40-50ft pine limb had fallen and Aris tackled the problem in time even though the weather was bad, then thoroughly cleaned the property. A 2024 Google review says Aris regraded a "5500ft plus" rolling backyard, resolved draining problems near the house and was careful with the septic tanks and leach field. A 2024 Thumbtack review describes a 6 tree removal project that Aris and his crew got done without delay even when the rain tried to stop them. A 2022 Thumbtack review says Aris excavated and leveled a backyard, took out a fence, cleared a tree and removed huge rocks including a 10*10ft rock; that reviewer wrote it would have been even better if he had been able to take out the last, bigger rock.
