I initially called Spaulding Heating to schedule a yearly tune-up of my System 2000 after having trouble connecting with the service company that I had clean my system the year before. I was immediately contacted and was scheduled within 3 days for the cleaning. The day before my cleaning my hot water storage tank sprung a leak so when Phelicks arrived he assessed the situation and ordered a new tank and had it delivered the next day. Phelicks and his Journeyman John arrived with the new tank and had it installed and cleaned my system with professionalism and efficiency. I was impressed with Phelicks knowledge of the System 2000 and his trouble shooting ability. But also with the job they did cleaning up when they were done... I've never had a crew so detailed, they even cleaned the hardwood floor in the kitchen leading to the cellar. I with no hesitation highly recommend Spaulding Heat and their crew.
Had an appointment scheduled in August. Appointment was cancelled due to an emergency with another customer. Rescheduled for about a month out. Explained that I did not have any filters and that I needed to be seen before it was cold. Called 45 minutes after the scheduled appointment to say that they could not make it. Explained again that I did not have filters and the furnace needed to be serviced. They scheduled me for yesterday. Received a call again, 45 minutes after the scheduled time and they said that the driver was having truck trouble and they could not make it. Rescheduled for this morning and, of course, they cancelled again and would "be in touch next week." I understand that things happen but this is horrible customer service. I thought I was lucky when I found Spaulding because they did a great job the first time I called. Now? They are on the list of all of the other trades people in Maine who are unreliable and unresponsive.
Called Spaulding heating at the end of August to schedule a boiler cleaning. Lady on the phone got me in two weeks later. Perfect. Day of the appointment one of the techs calls me two hours before the cleaning and says he has an emergency water heater issue at an apartment. No biggie. He schedules me an appointment almost a month out in October for 10 am. Day of the appointment comes and no one shows up. No phone call. I call the office and the lady on the phone says she’ll call the tech to see what’s up. No phone call back from anyone. 4 days later the office calls me and leaves a voicemail about scheduling a boiler cleaning. No apology. Hard to do business with a company that doesn’t want to show up and provide a service. I’d look elsewhere for HVAC needs.
Very competent and friendly service over the years.
Very happy with the installation of a new boiler. Everything works great, looks great and absolutely no mess left behind. Thank you Spaulding Heating.
