A cat named Floki was stuck 60 feet up a maple tree, and a recent customer said that within an hour of calling Steele, they were on the premises and got the job done. Steele's Landscaping's website lists landscaping, lawn care and maintenance, tree pruning and removal, drainage systems, flagstone paving, and residential and commercial snow removal, and the company says it has been in business 15 years. A local paper has described the business as having moved from Boothbay to Wiscasset to be more central to clients, with about 14 people on staff. A 2025 customer said Steele took down 7 very large pines from the backyard. A 2025 customer said Kevin and his team removed trees and cleaned up the yard after the job was completed. A 2025 customer said the cost was significantly less than two other quotes they got. A 2025 customer said the final bill matched the estimate and the crew was considerate of the neighbors. A 2020 customer who hired them to plow and sand a driveway said they showed up as soon as the snow ended, and that for the first time in 25 years the lawn and driveway needed no spring repairs. A 2017 customer said they mowed and trimmed the lawn in a third of the time the previous service took, and trimmed weeds growing in a vertical rock wall without being asked.
