Sturgis Concrete Floors is listed on the BBB for concrete contracting services. In a 2024 Google review, a superintendent with a national construction company, referred by a plumbing supplier in Exeter, said the owner asked where they were from; once they explained they were from Texas, they were met with hostility and told that no help would be provided and no referrals to local businesses offered.
I’m a superintendent with a national construction company and was looking for some local help. I was graciously referred to this concrete floor company by a very help plumbing supplier here in Exeter. Upon contacting the owner of Sturgis, I was asked where we are from due to our out of town accents. When we explained that we were from TEXAS and needed help because we weren’t local to the area, we were immediately met with hostility and basically told that no help would be provided and that no referrals to local businesses would be offered. I am saddened and disappointed that politics has to play a part in every aspect of our lives. Terrible way to do business…
