Built-in bookcases, kitchen cabinets and interior finish trim are jobs customers have hired Suman Custom Carpentry to make and install. The Hyannis shop says it is owner-operated by Dieyson Suman of Yarmouth and builds custom millwork for homes and businesses across Cape Cod. Its stated offerings include cabinetry, vanities, closets, built-ins and interior and exterior trim, with service towns stretching from Bourne and Falmouth to Provincetown. In June 2026, a customer who contacted Suman for a kitchen cabinet repair described a quick response and completed work, praising the results and reasonable pricing. A November 2025 reviewer described the team turning a concept for built-in bookcases into a finished addition to the living space that fitted into the house. The customer said they would hire the company again. An April 2024 homeowner credited Dieyson and his crew with doing the entire interior finish trim and the kitchen cabinets. They said the job was delivered complete within their deadline. Another April 2024 reviewer also described hiring Suman for finish trim and praised the work. Google listed a five-star average from nine ratings in August 2026. One May 2024 review followed a bay-window repair/replacement in Harwich. The customer had obtained three prices and said Suman was not the lowest-priced choice, but liked how Dighton discussed possible additional work when the old window came out. Termite damage was found and further work was required. According to that customer, Dighton kept them informed and sent pictures of what needed doing; the project was on time and the site stayed neat and orderly. The company says Dieyson began taking independent carpentry projects in 2017, worked in Nantucket and Cape Cod, and established the custom millwork business in 2018. BBB instead gives January 1, 2024 as the business start date. Its August 2026 profile assigned an A grade and said the company was not BBB accredited.
“Cape-based Suman Custom Carpentry crafted custom millwork and geometrical wood statement panels that echo the hues of the exposed ceiling panels, infusing the space with warmth.”
I contacted Suman Carpentry for a kitchen cabinet repair. They responded very quickly and completed the work with excellent results. I found them to be highly skilled, reliable, and reasonably priced, and recommend them without hesitation for high quality work!
The attention to detail and precision craftsmanship the Suman team performed was incredible! They were able to take our concept of built in bookcases and make it a reality. It is now a beautiful addition to out living space in our home and is a seamless part of the house. We would hire them again without question!
Great experience with Suman Custom Carpentry! They deliver top-quality, custom craftsmanship that is truly transformative!
I got three prices for a large Bay Window repair/replacement ion Harwich and while Suman was not the "best price" I liked the way Dighton discussed the project covering the potential of additional work need when they removed the old Bay Window. Unfortunately, there was evidence of termite damage and that additional work was required. At all times Dighton kept me aware of the progress and sent pictures of what had to be done. The project was ontime, the jobsite was neat and orderly at all times and the workmanship was excellent. Jack Madden
Suman Custom Carpentry not only did our entire interior finish trim work, they also did our kitchen cabinets. They do exceptional work, my wife and I couldn't be happier with Dieyson and his crew. The quality of their work and punctuality to make sure the job was delivered complete within our deadline was second to none. Definitely would recommend this company to others. They are top tier.
