T P Sloane Painting and Coating

T P Sloane Painting and Coating is a one-man interior and exterior painting operation in Quincy, owner-operated by Thomas P. Sloane, who the company says has painted professionally for more than 40 years. Its own site describes work across Greater Boston - Quincy, Milton, Dorchester, South Boston, and Charlestown - covering interior painting, specialty coatings, epoxy floors, wall coverings, and wood finishing for houses and businesses. Every review on file, going back to 2020, is five stars, and the recent ones read like the same handful of people describing the same guy: "Tom is awesome," "very responsive, helpful, and patient," "highly professional and very skilled." One customer who has used him on multiple properties over the years said in a 2025 review that the estimated payment came in with no surprises at completion and the timeline held. Another 2025 review called the pricing very fair and said the job stayed within the original quote. In a 2020 Google review, a customer who had him paint an office building in Boston said the crew worked fast, and a 2023 Thumbtack review said simply that they were very happy with the project. One thing worth confirming directly: Quincy directories don't agree on his street address (one lists 273 Billings Rd, another 257 South Central Ave), and they're split on whether free estimates, emergency work, or a warranty come standard - so nail those down before booking. For a straightforward interior or exterior paint job, or something more specialized like epoxy flooring, four decades on the tools and a run of detailed, name-signed five-star reviews make Sloane a reasonable call - just confirm the address, estimate, and timeline up front.
