Decks, porches and windows are the jobs that fill ZIR Contracting's Google page, and the name customers use is Ben. The Quincy company describes itself as a home improvement and construction outfit doing small repairs, painting, additions and new construction, and its 26 Google ratings average 5 stars. The recent reviews are specific. In April 2026, one homeowner said Ben's crew replaced two windows, cut a new one into a formerly blank wall, did the rough framing, and trimmed and painted the new window outside to match the others; when the Marvin window arrived with an unfinished interior, Ben finished the part the customer was unhappy with. Another replaced a front porch while keeping its original historic look, and even took the house shutters down to sand and paint them. Others this spring describe stucco patchwork, a new deck, and ice-dam water damage repaired. In June 2026, a customer had a front-door threshold replaced and new wood added to an older door frame. The longer history runs back to 2023 and leans on repeat work. An October 2025 reviewer had a deck redone and said it finished on schedule. In a 2023 review, a couple described a kitchen remodel with new lighting, built with Ben's carpenters, electricians, and granite and flooring crews; another 2023 customer had a large porch and patio project delivered on time, and several that year said they had hired the team for multiple projects at fair prices. In a 2024 review, a customer said Ben replaced windows and damaged siding and worked through the insurance adjuster's requirements. There is one sharp warning. In a June 2024 Reddit post, a homeowner said they had hired the company for a bathroom project the year before, that it took six months and was delivered with a leak, that their texts went unanswered and compensation was refused, and that they had hired an attorney to try to get their money back.
