TA Napolitano, Inc. is a South Portland electrical contractor on Broadway that says it has served Greater Portland and Southern Maine since 1985, doing residential and commercial work. Anthony L. Napolitano holds an active Maine electrician licence, MS60020682, on the state registry. The company holds an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau, where it is accredited, and its BBB profile mentions generators, heat pumps and parking lot lighting. On Google it holds 4.5 stars from 8 ratings. The written Google reviews from 2022 to 2024 are positive. In a May 2024 review, a customer wrote that Tony and his crew had done everything from upgrading to 200 amp service to a simple outdoor light installation, and praised both the work and the customer service. A December 2022 review from a homeowner redoing a bathroom said Tony and Scott answered every question, did the work and cleaned up after themselves, and that Jen in the office was responsive; another December 2022 customer who had used the company several times called the prices very reasonable. The newest review, from September 2025, is the opposite. In that one-star review, a customer whose business staff dealt with the crew during an install called them incredibly rude, said the work was very difficult to schedule and took a very long time, and suspected non-standard equipment had been installed to make parts hard to find. That reviewer said the work seemed adequate at first glance, but that their concerns were blown off and that they would not hire the company for a second panel in the building that needs replacement.
They were incredibly rude during the install. Every member of my staff who had an interaction with them had a very negative experience. At one point they interacted with my neighbor's crew and it was bad enough that my neighbor's staff sought me out to express concerns with their behavior. It also was very difficult to schedule this work and took a very long time. They also seem to have installed non standard equipment to make it intentionally difficult for us to find parts. The components have not been installed long enough for me to give a review on the actual work but it seems adequate at first glance. When I brought my concerns and the concerns of two different staffs to the owner he immediately blew it off and made excuses. This is an incredibly unprofessional outfit and it seems it starts from the top. We have a second panel in the building that requires replacement. I have already told my landlord that I will not work with this company for that project.
We have had Tony and his great crew do a variety of work for us: from larger projects (upgrading to 200 amp service) to simple outdoor light installation. The work is outstanding, and of more importance, their customer service is outstanding. They are the nicest people and we recommend them enthusiastically.
I am redoing my bathroom & the Tony & Scott who came out were great. They answered all my questions. Did the work and cleaned up after themselves. Jen in the office was great at responding as well. I would definitely hire them again. NC in Maine
I have used this company on several occasions over the past couple years and have been very pleased with their service from the electricians themselves to their excellent office staff. Their prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!
