Target Air Systems is a small family HVAC company on Fiske Street in Natick, run by Chris with his wife Mel and a crew of technicians customers name by name — Costa, Nick, Warren. One customer in March said what keeps them there: they know you when you call, instead of a call center and a different technician every visit. The company covers Natick and eleven surrounding MetroWest and Neponset Valley towns and works on homes and businesses. What people call them for most is heat that has quit or AC that has died at the worst possible moment. In February a homeowner's boiler failed during a Sunday snowstorm; the crew came out, drained the system so the pipes would not freeze, and put in a new gas boiler as soon as parts allowed, because the old ones were no longer made. On New Year's Eve a family came home to a dead furnace and Chris offered to look at it that night. Two Januaries ago he sent a large team out early on Christmas Eve morning so a new system was in before the hosting started. Customers also describe a Saturday call before a graduation party and a holiday-eve emergency this July. The planned work runs to whole-system replacements: two heat pump systems in October 2025, a dual-fuel heat pump with a minisplit in February, a hot water heater swapped in a condo arranged entirely by phone and email in October 2025. Several customers single out being given choices rather than a pitch — one got three options on a furnace in December 2025 with no pressure, another says Chris laid out the benefits of each option in March and his wife walked them through the rebate paperwork. The complaints cluster on big jobs and on price. A June 2025 reviewer called it a nightmare and said the company is not capable of large projects; a March 2025 customer who built a new house said that two years on the system still was not adequate and described repeated excuses. In 2023, one reviewer said an AC repair was charged for and never fixed, and a multi-year customer said the service had gone downhill. A January 2026 customer itemized a $350 bill for about an hour of pipe cleaning with no parts used — $150 service call, $50 diagnostic, $150 cleaning — and a May reviewer put it plainly: not inexpensive, but very professional. Google shows 4.7 stars across 121 ratings, the Better Business Bureau grades the company A+, and two Natick neighbors passed the name along on Nextdoor in June. For a furnace, boiler, AC or heat pump replacement in the MetroWest towns, or for a breakdown on a holiday weekend, this is the kind of shop that answers; if your job is a whole-house system in new construction, ask for references on work that size and get the service-call, diagnostic and labor fees in writing first.

Chris and the team at Target were exceptional. Our AC failed in the middle of the heat wave and they showed up promptley o give us a proposal on how to replace our old unit. They showed that they really understood how to deal with a dificult installation problem which other vendors shiied away from and then they delivered. I love it when someone says I can do that and then they do. Rare in this day and time.
I called Target Air Systems when I needed help with my HVAC system, and I was surprised by how fast they were able to fit me into their schedule. They made the whole process easy, kept me updated, and showed up exactly when they said they would. The technician was friendly, professional, and had everything taken care of quickly. It’s hard to find companies that are this responsive these days, and I really appreciated how they treated me as a priority. I’d definitely use them again and would recommend them to anyone looking for dependable, fast service.
Have been a customer for years, always polite, helpful, and quick
It was a pleasure working with Target Air. The guys gave a great price, showed up on time and did the work with no problems. Cleaned up after and no problems. Would use them again
