Tavares Finish Carpentry

Twelve custom-sized shelves for one built-in — that is the scale of detail Tavares Finish Carpentry gets hired for. In a January 2018 Houzz review, a homeowner described the crew taking out a bar-height counter, patching the hole it left in the wall, adding wall trim and building those shelves, and said they would use them again. The second January 2018 review comes from a repeat customer: a new deck in summer 2017, then a window replacement with structural repair that December. They called the crew professional, tidy and detail-oriented, and singled out the installed trim as intricate. The Boston company's Houzz page runs long on finish work — custom built-ins, cabinets, bookcases, entertainment centers, pantries and shelving, baseboard and crown molding, wainscoting and trim, plus custom furniture and home bars — with five projects shown and a Houzz badge on the profile. Both of its Houzz reviews are five stars. A good fit for built-ins, trim and cabinetry where the finish is the whole point, and the 2017 deck and window job shows they take structural carpentry too. Ask to see a recent built-in or trim job in person, confirm who does the measuring and the install, and get the millwork specs in writing before anything is ordered.
