Taylor Made Construction Corp. works out of 6 Ashmore Road in Worcester as a full-service general contractor, taking on renovations, additions, new builds and the trades that go into them across Worcester County (E460274). Its registration is real and current: MA home improvement contractor licence 192661 is registry-verified active with Taylor Made Construction Corp as the holder of record (E463270), and the BBB carries two further Massachusetts numbers, HE-206576 and CS-103894, from the Department of Public Safety and Inspections (E460287, E460288). On paper the credentials read well. The company has been BBB accredited since December 2015 and holds an A+ grade, and the BBB lists it as an FHA 203K certified contractor — the qualification for renovation-mortgage work (E460284, E460281, E460283). BuildZoom scores it 100 and records seven building permits between 2009 and 2025 across Revere, Groveland, Lowell, Maynard, Westborough, Fitchburg and Middleton, the largest a $450,000 conversion of a fire-damaged four-unit building into six units (E460299, E460297). The customer record is where a homeowner should slow down. There is exactly one published review anywhere, and it is severe: a client wrote that the owner did not pay the subcontractors on their project even though the client had already given him the funds to do so (E460280). Nothing on the other side balances it — the HomeAdvisor profile states the company is new on both HomeAdvisor and Angi and carries no reviews and no star rating at all (E463269). Two smaller inconsistencies sit alongside that. Tenure is stated three different ways: BuildZoom's blurb claims over 17 years, the BBB records 14 years with a 2012 start, and HomeAdvisor says 15 (E460299, E460289, E463269). And the services list changes shape by source — the BBB carries a long general-contracting menu while HomeAdvisor files the company under excavation and home building (E460285, E463268). If you are considering this contractor for a renovation-mortgage or multi-unit job, the licence and the FHA 203K credential are genuine and checkable. Given the single review on file, ask directly how subcontractors and suppliers are paid, request lien waivers as work is completed, and speak to references from the recent permitted jobs by name.

Had an extremely negative experience with Jeffrey T and cannot stress enough how important it is to avoid hiring him. Here are the major issues I encountered: Failure to Pay Subcontractors: Jeffrey did not pay the subcontractors on our project, even though we had already provided him with the funds to do so.
