Finding the cause of a persistent chimney leak is a job several Chimney Pro customers describe. In a July 2026 Google review, a homeowner in Dennis says Dave Jones traced a leak that had returned for more than two years. The customer describes a roofing proposal costing over $18,000 to reshingle that part of the roof; after investigating without a charge, Dave found the cause and fixed it for one-tenth of the cost. Another June 2026 customer says David explained and stopped a long-term chimney leak after others had tried unsuccessfully. The company describes itself as a South Yarmouth chimney sweeping, inspection, repair and masonry business serving Cape Cod. Its website says it has served Cape Cod's masonry needs since 1980 and that David Jones took over from Edward Norcross. The Dennis reviewer also describes the ownership change, identifying Dave as Ed's son-in-law and saying Ed had previously capped their chimney. Other recent accounts describe repointing, sealing and liner work. A June 2026 Google reviewer says David returned the call promptly, came to repoint and seal a chimney within a week, and did neat work. Another June reviewer says they hired the company to add to a chimney liner while installing a gas fireplace; the chimney crown also needed partial rebuilding. That customer praises the completed work, communication and cost. A separate June customer describes a sweep and inspection that identified unsafe issues and a need for a chimney rebuild and insert installation, then praises the work done, communication and respect for the property. Pricing draws different reactions. One June 2026 reviewer calls the service quick and David courteous, but says the cost was much higher than expected. Other June customers describe a fair or reasonable price. Google lists a 4.9-star average from 12 ratings; Porch lists 4.7 from 40 ratings. The Massachusetts registry lists construction supervisor licence CS-050000, held by David K Jones, as expired, using the status “Null and Void.” The company's website gives a South Yarmouth mailing address, while Porch lists South Dennis.
