The Pool Place has sold and serviced pool supplies out of North Easton since 1974 — 52 years in business, per its BBB file — and the reviews keep circling back to the same idea: staff will talk a customer out of a purchase they don't need. In a 2025 review, one customer who said they'd shopped there for more than fifty years described staff telling them a 'failing' motor just needed a replacement part, and telling another customer a filter just needed cleaning instead of replacing. The technical side shows up across the record too. A recent review describes staff member John spending days on the phone with the equipment manufacturer's tech support, walking a customer through a saltwater-system conversion problem. In a 2023 review, a customer describes a D.E. filter that had been causing trouble getting deep-cleaned and not acting up again; another 2023 review credits staff member Michelle with walking a customer step by step through converting a pool from Bacquacil to chlorine, and a third 2023 review praises a pool cover installation. A 2022 review describes ten years of buying pool supplies there and having 140 pounds of salt carried out to the car every year. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration — the kind that would cover installation work — has expired, per the state registry. Two reviews describe real friction, both around pricing and installation quotes rather than day-to-day supply-store service: a 2024 review accused the owner of quoting one price twice then charging $50 more at the register, and a 2022 review described asking for a stair-installation estimate and being told the staff member had no timeline or cost information and couldn't provide a subcontractor's name. For pool chemicals, parts, water testing, and small repairs, the reviews are deep and consistently positive across more than a decade; for installation work, it's worth asking about current licensing and getting a firm, written quote before committing.
This store hasn’t failed me. If you need to know what to do with your pool if you are having issues this is the spot.
We have been a customer for a couple years now. This year we decided to switch to salt water. We purchased the equipment the week of the 4th from TPP. Once installed, I noticed things weren’t right with the new system. On the 2nd I reached out to TPP and spoke to John and discussed my issues. He immediately took the time (remember, busy hot week) to try and walk me through several diagnostic procedures. He gave me his cell phone number and we continued via text. John spent a good portion of the 2nd on the phone with Hayward tech support and myself. Again on Sunday the 5th. On Monday I dropped off the gear and John had it diagnosed and a new system waiting for me when I stopped back. I’m a service guy and the service and treatment I received from John and the staff was unbelievable. You have to stop in to their store and experience it for yourself. They have my business for as long as we own a pool. Thank You JV Plymouth
The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I needed a new replacement pump for my filter and I left with all the information and accessories I needed. They go above and beyond with their customer service!
Best pool place ever friendly and also test your water 💧 help pick out what you need also
We have been purchasing our pool supplies here since day one of our pool. Every year when we open our pool we bring our water sample, and they do the rest. With friendly customer service they put everything we need into a shopping cart, print out step by step instructions, and the magic happens. Once we get the levels to where they should be, we're all set for the entire summer! We've never gone anywhere else, because we're highly satisfied.
