In an April 2025 Google review, a customer wrote that The Stump Guy called back the same day a quote request went in through the website, arrived early for the estimate and again for the job, and put a guard around the back of a big oak stump so the sawdust stayed out of the flower garden; the stump was done in an hour. The Lincolnville, Maine business says it has been at it for 11 years, offers free estimates on stump grinding, and says it is insured. In May 2026 a Google reviewer wrote that Jackson, whom they described as a licensed arborist, helped them assess which trees on their property should stay and which needed to come down. In June 2025 a reviewer wrote that Jackson and Laz arrived exactly when promised, put safety first while downing a huge birch tree, limbed up a few other trees and left the site meticulously cleaned. In another June 2025 review, a customer wrote that Jackson cleared one stump so they could finish a garden bed. An April 2025 reviewer said Jackson was quick to respond and that they could hardly tell where the stump used to be. In a July 2025 review, a Camden customer praised the stump grinding and fair prices.
As a licensed arborist Jackson was able to help me assess what trees should stay and what needed to remove on our property. His work is fast and thorough and he earned my trust from our first handshake. Best of the best.
Great value for the amount of the work. Very good job and very good at cleaning up the area. Highly recommended.
Awesome service and fair prices. When it comes to stump grinding in mid coast Maine this should be your first choice. Tom From Camden
Jackson was quick and professional! Got the one stump cleared out for us so we can finish creating our garden bed! We'll be using him again for our future stump needs!
Jackson aka “The Stump Guy” has a real top notch business. His communication before our project was amazing. Jackson and Laz arrived exactly when he promised. Their work is extraordinary in every aspect. They paid attention to every detail when downing a huge birch tree. Safety was at the top of their list. They were respectful and very courteous. They also cleaned up a few tree by limbing them up. Jackson’s prices are extremely reasonable. We could not be happier with their hard work. They were meticulous in cleaning up the site after their hard work. Without a doubt, it was the best experience for us and I highly recommend them to everyone. Thumbs up and 10 stars for Jackson and his hard working crew.
