A bidet, three cordless blinds, a porch umbrella, handicap fittings in a new apartment - the jobs people hired Albert Cautillo for are small, specific, and done in an afternoon. That is the shape of This & That Handyman Services, a two-person Peabody outfit Thumbtack lists as eight years in business. The written accounts are unusually specific for handyman work. In a March 2020 review a customer described the bidet install, noting he went up and down four flights twice to turn the water on and off and 'took it in stride'. A homeowner writing in August 2020 had three cordless blinds fitted inside an hour and said he offered to stay longer to deal with other repairs. In June 2023 someone moving into a new apartment called him 'a godsend' after a full day of electrical and handicap fittings, and added that 'Albert is actually a successful contractor'. It is a small history and a dated one. Thumbtack shows 4.9 from 7 ratings, 86 per cent at five stars and 14 per cent at four, with five readable accounts running 2020 to June 2023 and nothing newer. Each names him personally and describes a different job, which is what a genuine set looks like rather than a batch - but seven ratings is thin, and three years have passed since the last one. On credentials, Thumbtack says it verified a Massachusetts Construction Supervisor licence on 2 February 2026, and prints no number. Treat that as the platform's claim rather than a state confirmation, and ask for the number so you can check it with the Department of Public Safety yourself. Several of the jobs described sit near a licence line worth asking about: the 2020 bidet install and a February 2021 job tagged kitchen plumbing and appliances are water-supply work, so establish who handles that part before booking. For the odd-jobs list a Peabody or Marblehead homeowner keeps putting off, he is a reasonable call. Ask for a reference from the last year or two, since the newest written account is from 2023, and get the licence number in writing.

Moving into a new apartment and I needed assistance in installing numerous electrical and handicap items. Albert was a godsend. He approached each task with a positive and professional attitude and the quality of his work speaks for itself. I've added only three pictures out of several projects he completed. I have already recommended Albert to several interested parties. Although he worked for me as a handyman, Albert is actually a successful contractor. Thank you Albert for being a mensch! We had a large sun umbrella for the porch assembled and put together by this handyman. Excellent job, he arrived on time and assembled this product and was professional and he and his helper did a fantastic job. If we need any handyman services in the future we will definitely be calling him. Details: 2 - 5 hours (A few different projects) - Assembly - Painting - Deck or porch - Home

Requested help to install 3 cordless blinds. Albert responded very quickly and was flexible when I needed to reschedule. He arrived on time and completed the work in an hour but was willing to stay longer to deal with some repairs. I was more than satisfied with the quality of work and will contact Albert again for future jobs. Details: Less than 2 hours (Simple tasks) - Installation - Bedroom - Home

Albert was awesome! Super polite and double checked his work. Installed a fancy bidet! Took care of it fast and efficiently. He actually had to go up and down 4 flights of stairs twice to turn the water on and off. I felt bad, but he took it in stride as just part of the job! I highly recommend Albert for any home project!
