A Haverhill neighbor writing on Nextdoor in May 2025 called Tom Murphy "the best all around handyman in the business." He works as Thomas Murphy Construction out of 9 Maple Ave in Haverhill. For small and mid-size jobs around the house in the Haverhill area, he is a reasonable call. Settle the scope and the price before work starts, look up his home improvement contractor registration on the Massachusetts state register, and ask for a certificate of insurance.

Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Thomas Murphy. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A day rate replaces the task list — usually the better deal once the list gets long.
