Northfield Handyman Services works out of Haverhill with an A+ Better Business Bureau grade and a Google page holding 4.9 stars across 110 ratings — the kind of volume that's hard to shrug off. Run by Norman Lee, the company sends a familiar rotating crew — Pat, Carlos, Patrick and John among them, with Corey as project manager — for the full range of small-to-midsize home jobs: tile and grout repair, window fixes, gutter cleaning, deck and porch building, and painting. Reviews back the number up, with specifics repeated across the years. In a 2025 review, a homeowner credits the crew with pulling loose shower tiles, clearing surface mold, and recaulking a tub surround; in a 2023 review, Carlos and Pat are described repairing a water-damaged ceiling, replacing a rotted porch section, and painting two ceilings, with a final bill lower than expected; in a 2021 review, a homeowner describes a full master-bathroom gut-and-redo, with Northfield bringing in outside plumbing and electrical vendors and adjusting the plan as problems turned up. Several customers describe hiring Northfield more than once a year, and one 2024 review credits the crew with a fast response after a cracked pipe flooded a kitchen and basement. Two reviews break from the pattern. A 2024 review describes a window installed to the wrong measurements — the crew's own guy mismeasured, then a replacement went in without a screen and, per the reviewer, was never resolved. A 2023 review describes a painting quote that grew well past the half-day/full-day rate first discussed, after the company brought in a separate painter to re-quote the job at $1,500. Both are worth raising directly — confirm measurements and get a firm, itemized quote before work starts, especially on anything priced by the day. For the kind of punch-list job a homeowner keeps putting off — a stuck window, a rotted porch board, mounting a TV, clearing gutters — the volume and consistency of the reviews point to a crew that shows up, finishes fast, and cleans up after itself.

I have worked with Northfield handyman on a couple projects. The professionalism, communication and attention to detail is second to none. They have very competitive prices, complete all projects in a timely manner working with you throughout the project I absolutely highly recommend working with them.
Job well done! Removed/reinstalled loose tiles in shower. Removed surface mold between wall and tub and also caulked a tub surround. Very professional and left all work areas clean after completing the job.
The entire team was great. I contacted Northfield Handyman Services as week to open windows that were painted shut. They were able to schedule someone this week. Pat was here this morning and opened windows that have been painted shut for years (if not decades) and did so with ease.
My projects were completed perfectly, quickly and the employee was was very nice. He cleaned up each area and did an excellent job!
