Sixty-four reviews averaging 4.8, and one name runs through nearly all of them: Mark. Tight Link Fence works out of Swansea and does one thing — fences and gates — in vinyl and PVC, wood, chain link, aluminium and steel. Its Better Business Bureau page carries an A+. The praise is remarkably consistent about speed and straight dealing. A 2016 reviewer who had priced a fence around a new pool and spa with six other vendors wrote that Mark's quote came in a third below the lowest of them, kept asking whether he had measured properly, and then found the finished job "awesome" with "no chasing him around or worrying about hidden fees." A 2017 customer said he promised three days and delivered in three. Another, in 2017, had an existing fence relocated and found the original installer had never cemented a post along a hundred-foot run; Tight Link cemented every one. The 2024 review is shorter and to the same effect: quick, clean, professional. The one hard complaint is worth reading before you call. A homeowner writing in February 2020 said the crew filled the gate posts only a quarter of the way despite Mark's own instruction, the gates sagged within two weeks, and although he came out and sent the crew back, the damage was done. What followed, in that customer's account, was a year of chasing: three arranged visits that did not happen, a promised set of gate wheels that never arrived, months of unanswered texts and calls. "He was a nice guy, his crew was nice enough, his customer service and follow-up sucks." A milder 2017 review flagged a slow materials supplier rather than the crew. The other thing to weigh is how dated the record is. The reviews run 2016 to 2024 and the bulk of them land in 2016 and 2017; there is nothing at all from the last two years, and the whole corpus sits on a single directory profile carried on both Angi and HomeAdvisor rather than on several independent platforms. For a straightforward fence or gate installation from a small owner-run outfit with a long run of satisfied customers, this is a reasonable call. Ask for a recent local reference given how old most of the written record is, and — given the one serious complaint — get the post-setting spec and the warranty terms in writing, along with what happens if something needs adjusting after the crew leaves.
Mark and his crew were very professional. They work very quick and very clean. I would highly recommend Tight Link Fence to anyone. He is the absolute best.
They were incredible!
The owner Mark was great to work with and gave great advice on making my fence project look better.. Everything was installed in a timely fashion and the workers were professional around my property even with my crazy dog. I would recommend this company to my friends and family anytime.
Job well done and completed on schedule as promised!
The installers and quality of fence was excellent. Mark, the owner, explained to me that because of the way the gate was installed, and had to be installed, that it may sag. He told me this pre-install. To help prevent that, he said he would instruct his crew to fill the two side posts to help combat sag. Unfortunately, the crew only filled them 25 percent, and they instantly sagged within 2 weeks. Mark apologized, came out, saw that his crew did not do as instructed, and had them back out within a few weeks to refill. Unfortunately, too much damage was probably done. They were now permanently sagged. For months, I tried to reach him via phone and text. For months, he would only respond to ever 3rd contact, asking me to text him bright and early on an arranged day, and that he would come out to check it out. This happened 3 times, and the 3 times he blew me off. It was so simple... The simple answer, which he explained twice, was that they would put wheels on the bottom of each door, to help prop them up. He supposedly ordered them, and they were out of stock, but he would get back to me. You are telling me you can not walk into almost any fence depot and find these? At any rate, I understand suppliers being out of stock. 3 weeks later, I checked in with him, and he said he got them, and we would arrange a time. 6 months of contact, 6 following months with no responses, him going on vacations, him not responding to texts and phone calls. I have not tried to reach him in 5+ months, I thought it was time for a review. He was a nice guy, his crew was nice enough, his customer service and follow-up sucks. Very lackluster. I am very disappointed. It is been over a year, I thought it was time to write him a review. Thanks for reading.
