Tint King, Inc.

Tint King is primarily a car-tint shop — the vast majority of its reviews are about vehicles — but it's also done home and office window tinting since Brian Timm, who trained under the original 'Tint King' in Florida, opened it in 1983. Reviewers who mention repeat visits are common: several say this is their third, fourth, or sixth vehicle brought through the shop. For homeowners specifically, a 2024 review describes having skylights tinted to cut sun damage to rugs and floors, with the crew showing up ready to do the estimate and the install on the same visit and noting the added benefit of energy savings. The broader story here is enormous and consistently strong: 310 reviews since 2020 across Google and Angi, with a 4.8-star average from 863 Google ratings. In a recent review, a customer who moved out of state and came back ten years later says the shop still delivered. Another recent review describes returning from a state with different tint laws and getting old, non-compliant tint swapped for new ceramic film without issue. A small number of reviews describe rougher visits. In a 2025 review, a customer described bubbling that appeared after a rear-window retint and said a promised follow-up fix never happened. In a 2024 review, a longtime customer since 2010 said a recent paint protection film job fell short even though the window tint itself looked great. Elsewhere, a 2023 review describes the shop reaching out directly to resolve an old warranty complaint about bubbling once the customer flagged it — the fix landed a five-star update. For automotive tinting, there's a deep, heavily repeat-customer history to go on; for a home job like tinting skylights or windows to cut glare and sun damage, the one account here is a strong one, though there's much less written history on that side of the business specifically. Ask how they handle a warranty issue if one comes up, given the two complaints above.
