In June 2026 a Google reviewer with a clog wrote that TMG got Patrick out the same day, and that he communicated well through the whole job. In February 2026 one customer had a burst water line repaired quickly, and another, during a severe cold snap, had Adam defrost the pipes under their home and install heat trace. TMG Plumbing & Disaster Solutions is based at 124 W Town St in Norwich. Connecticut's registry shows its plumber licence, PLM.0291402-P1, and its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0652821, both active under TMG PLUMBING & DISASTER SOLUTIONS. The company describes 24/7 emergency plumbing and disaster recovery, including water and fire damage and mold remediation, counts 10 years in business, holds a BBB A+ as an accredited business and has 4.6 stars from 35 Google ratings. In a March 2025 review, a customer whose leaking water heater flooded the laundry room on a Saturday morning wrote that other companies could not come until Monday, while TMG had a quote and people working in the home within two hours, and helped with the insurance paperwork. In a September 2024 review, a homeowner whose basement filled with 2 to 4 inches of water in a rainstorm on a Friday afternoon wrote that TMG installed a sump pump, and named Paul. In April 2026 a customer described a flood in which Paul assessed the job, Frazier worked through the night removing more than 70 gallons of water and setting dehumidifiers, and the crew took the bathroom down to the studs while keeping the toilet available. In October 2026 a Hampton homeowner dealing with water damage credited Tyler with handling it. In July 2026 a one-star Google reviewer who hired TMG for fire restoration after a house fire wrote that they terminated the contract partway through, that four subcontractors said they had not been paid, and that the itemized insurance billing included work they say was never performed, an estimated $36,000 of about $65,000. That reviewer also wrote that a local P&Z official indicated permits were not properly pulled or closed. In a June 2024 one-star review, a customer whose oil burner would not start wrote that TMG bought the wrong part, left it behind, charged $380 for a $150 part without replacing the control, and refused to come back. In September 2024 a reviewer complained about a TMG driver turning left from a right-turn-only lane.
I highly recommend TMG plumbing and disaster solutions, when dealing with water damage in my home in Hampton, Tyler was incredibly helpful, professional, and thorough throughout the entire process. He made sure everything was handled properly and helped make what could have been a stressful situation much easier to navigate. I really appreciated the communication, attention to detail, and quality of service. Thank you to Tyler and the TMG team for a job well done!
TMG has been nothing short of excellence than what I experienced lately. They came into my home after a large loss and exceeded my expectations in all areas. From the office admin to the mitigation technicians to the rebuild technician everyone has been fantastic. This has been a frustrating process with the insurance company, and I understand it takes time, but TMG has been doing everything and anything they can to help. I could never express my gratitude for them. Thank you, TMG!
This business has two google accounts, see the other for more reviews. After knowing the office manager of this company informally for a couple of years and receiving recommendations from a plumber I use, I hired this company for fire restoration/mitigation work after a house fire and had to terminate the contract partway through. Four of their subcontractors contacted me directly to say they had not been paid for work they completed, and two advised me I should stop work immediately. When I reviewed the itemized billing submitted to my insurance company against the actual condition of the property, I found charges for work that does not appear to have been performed — including painting of walls that were demolished, demo/removal that was never completed, and cleaning of surfaces that had already been torn down or never existed. A local P&Z official also indicated to me that permits related to the work were not properly pulled or closed. I also received calls from subcontractors as late as 11:45 PM demanding payment and threatening to place liens on my house. As a result, approximately $65,000 of my insurance settlement was billed for this phase of work, of which estimated 36k was never done and I now do not have sufficient funds remaining to complete the restoration of my property. I have made multiple attempts to get them to work this out. Unable to upload video as it is over 30 seconds long. I’ve since heard from other homeowners describing similar experiences with this company. I noted another similar Google review detailing similar experiences that has since been removed. I got a photo of it and will post it with the review. I’d strongly encourage anyone considering hiring them to get a detailed, itemized scope of work in writing, verify permit status independently with your town, have your Attorney go over every shred of paperwork, make daily visits to the property to oversee work and confirm subcontractors are being paid and equipment exists, before authorizing further payment. ****** Response to TMG's reply To clarify: I signed a document after being told by TMG's representative that it was needed to keep my insurance claim moving and allow funds to continue while remaining work was completed — not as confirmation that work was finished or satisfactory. We had an in-person meeting about it; I was later called twice to sign so "we can get moving" and texted again. Further, I have a text message reiterating that it was needed to CONTINUE work and complete remaining work. Shortly after signing, work ceased, vendors started complaining, resulting in me severing my relationship with this company. I later found billing for work that was not performed, some of which USAA's own adjuster identified and rejected in writing before agreeing to pay. I stand by my original review, which demonstrates a pattern across other similar reviews of this company.
Patrick is knowledgeable and professional
They responded quickly and got someone, Patrick, out same day to help us with a clog. Patrick was phenomenal. He communicated well throughout the whole process of what he worked on. He was great from start to finish. Very friendly and even had great humor! Thank you so much and we are glad to be a part of the family now!
