Toledo Contracting is a Westport, MA contractor. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor license is active on the state registry, with Shaun Toledo as the holder of record. A 2026 HomeAdvisor review says the work completed is satisfactory and that what he and his crew have done is good and commendable, but it lists items still open, including handrails on the front stairs, leaf guards on the gutters installed, cladding on the basement window frames and remaining zinc strips on the roof, and asks for a reasonably detailed accounting of an extra $13,000 paid. The same review says Shawn has not returned phone calls or texts recently and that the promised dates are weeks or months in the past. In a 2025 HomeAdvisor review, the crew from Toledo Contracting removed and replaced all of a roof's asphalt shingles in a timely, organized and clean fashion. Another 2025 review credits Shaun and his crew with building a deck and installing doors. In a 2024 Google review, Sean quoted a very fair price, followed through on the quote, and came back to button up a few minor items on a new roof; a small shed was re-shingled as well. In a 2023 HomeAdvisor review, they added vinyl siding to one side of a house where the cedar shingles were starting to rot, then removed and rebuilt two sets of stairs that were not originally to code. In a 2021 HomeAdvisor review from Swansea, MA, they reroofed a garage with about 334 sq. ft. of new shingles and an attached man cave with about 415 sq. ft. of rubber roofing, with a crew of six on the job. A 2023 Google review about a roof re-shingled on 1/9/2023 says they left two trash barrels filled with old shingles behind and did not return phone calls, and that the writer found out no permit was pulled for the job. A 2022 Google review called the crew friendly and the pricing fair but said the quality was not the best.
Work that was completed is satisfactory. AlI I want Toledo construction to do is a) provide reasonably detailed accounting of the extra $13,000 I paid, b) install the handrails on the front stairs, c) install leaf guards on the gutters installed, d) finish cladding the basement window frames, e) fabricate and install garage stairs, f) add remaining zinc strips on roof, g) inspect roof for further mold/moss removal, h) estimate installing rear porch support and structure, i) complete right side garage door repair, j) finish barn loft door corner pieces (two small triangle shaped pieces), k) remove large pallet used for siding delivery (located under the barn currently) l) provide estimate for garage/barn window frame repair (three windows, perhaps 4). There was other work that I offered Toledo construction first dibs on (interior work during the winter), but I had to give that large job to another contractor due to non-responsiveness. Linda and I do like all the people who work at Toledo Construction. We just want the job completed and we still offer them the opportunity to work on other projects at that property location and perhaps the one two doors down which is mine as well. Shawn has provided repeated assurances that he's got us covered and that his crew will be there "early next week," but those dates are weeks/months in the past and it's now summer. Shawn hasn't returned phone calls or texts recently. I don't know how to rate the areas below. What he and his crew have done is good and commendable. What's not done is what would drag most of the scale ratings below down. I don't want to rate a company poorly unless it's clear that they'll not be fulfilling their contract.

Shaun and his crew performed professional and excellent work in building my deck and installing doors. I was thrilled that the job was very well done and he cared about getting it done well. It’s wonderful when professionals take pride in their work.
The crew from Toledo contracting removed and replaced all of my roofs asphalt shingles in a timely , organized, and clean fashion, all while keeping safety first. They were all knowledgeable and had instant answers to all questions that I had . Five Stars for sure !!!!
Sean quoted a very fair price, and followed through on his quote. He and his excellent crew worked very hard and diligently. Sean came back to button up a few minor items, which showed he is a Man of his Word. Thanks for a Great New roof, you even took care of the small shed my better half asked to have re-shingled, THANKS! 10 out of 10 for Sean and his Company!!
