I would not recommend this company and will be filing complaints regarding this business to the BBB as well once we determine the scope of the damage We hired this company to shovel our roof and remove the ice dams. We requested a copy of his insurance and never received it, shame on us. It was my understanding when we hired them that they would get rid of the snow and the ice, however they informed us they put ice pucks on the roof and it needed to melt. If it wasn't melted in 24 hrs they would come back. We contacted them the next day and was told it was too cold, to give it another day. I gave it an additional 2 days and contacted Tom again. He told me that the only way he was getting rid of ice dams was to remove the gutters .. so we agreed to do that (as that was a project we were possibly going to look into in the spring). One of his workers Patrick, ended up coming out to remove the dams and the gutters, however, AFTER banging at the gutter and the ice he determined that he would not be able to remove them without causing damage so he treated the ice dam and assured me they would come back every day until the ice dams were taken care of. He did not inspect the gutter beforehand and if he did he would have known he could not remove them. This went on for 2 weeks during which time they would not call us back (we left several messages) and when they did said they would come and were no shows. They did call back when my husband stated he felt we were being scammed and were going to file a complaint. They supposedly treated again, however the ice damns did not go away until the last few days. Today we found a piece of shingle on our deck along with damage we can see to the gutter and contacted Tom. I informed him of the issue and I again asked him for his insurance and he told me he would have his attorney call us along with insulting my husband by stating he thought he was a big shot. The only reason they received a .5 star is because I had no choice.
