Top Rated Home Improvement

Top Rated Home Improvement is a Beverly, Massachusetts crew founded by Tiago Marconi Teixeira that takes on whole-home projects — kitchen and bathroom remodels, painting, custom cabinetry, tile and finish carpentry — rather than sticking to one trade. Google shows 4.9★ across 35 ratings, and the company self-reports 11 years in business on Angi. The bulk of the record is strongly positive and covers real range: reviewers describe full kitchen remodels with custom cabinets, a duplex paint job where Tiago came out the same day for a quote and walked through options, tile work praised for level, clean cuts, and a hot-tub-room floor installed alongside a living-room and dining-room repaint. Several customers say they've hired the crew more than once, and multiple reviews specifically credit being kept in the loop as a remodel progressed. A recent review tells a different story: a customer described an unreliable, hard-to-reach process — a quote that didn't include what they'd asked for, repeated promises to 'come back' that didn't happen, and a complaint that design work done by the owner's wife was billed without being disclosed upfront. It's worth asking directly, before signing anything, exactly what's included in a quote and who on the team is doing which part of the work. One more thing worth knowing: Angi's seven reviews for this business are all dated the same month, August 2024, and two of them — under different reviewer names — use nearly identical wording. That doesn't necessarily mean the broader Google history isn't genuine, but it's a reason to weight the Angi reviews specifically with some caution. For a full remodel with several trades under one roof, the track record is largely strong; get the scope and billing spelled out in writing given the complaint above.
