Radon mitigation is the whole job at Tri-State Radon Systems. A recent customer said their radon reading went from 20 before Gary's installation to 1.8 four days afterwards, and described the install as quiet. The company holds a 5-star average across 102 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 208762, is active on the state registry. Its Rhode Island contractor registration, number GC-48555, is active on the state registry as well. A recent customer wrote that Gary Manyak planned the pipe run on a site visit, sent a scope of work with photos of the proposed fan, electrical work and the marked pipe run, sealed the sump pump grates in the concrete, and arranged a short-term radon test after completion. A recent customer who called for a consult and a new fan said a technician told them they did not need one. A 2026 customer said the passive pipe they had installed in a new house was not up to code, and that Gary put in a whole system that cost exactly what he estimated. A 2026 customer described a sub-slab depressurization system with a single collection point. A 2024 customer said Gary upgraded an existing radon fan and then added a second system on the other side of the house, after which levels had been consistently in the "1/2 range" instead of closer to 4/5. A 2024 customer said a dead mitigation fan was diagnosed and replaced within twenty minutes, with the gauge replaced and an alarm added, all for the quoted price. A 2023 customer said post-mitigation test results all came in under 1.0 pCi/L after levels above the EPA action limit of 4 pCi/L.
“We used a guy named John Spokis, company called Radon Systems LLC: http://www.theradoncompany.com. He did a good job in the house we were selling, but in our new house he drilled through the pipe for the hot water, and hired a very terrible plumber for the emergency fix. (We had to pay out of pocket for a better plumber to come later and re-do the work.) That accident aside, our system has worked flawlessly ever since. The workmanship looks good, all the parts are clearly marked, and annual re-tests show that the radon is staying very low (just barely testable).”
Gary is very thorough in his work & expert in his knowledge. Our radon rradon went from 20 b4 his installation and 1.8 four days afterwards! His install is quiet and placed efficiently. He is a very respectful person and listens well. so glad we went with him!
Gary is very kind, thorough and knowledgable. He was great to work with, communicative and incredibly organized. Wish Gary could be the person to fix all the things in our house!
Gary did an excellent job, quick install and explained everything. Very professional!
