True Painting

What customers of True Painting keep describing is not the paint — it is what happens before it. Five of them write about the prep: patching an old house's uneven walls in a February 2023 review, wall prep in November 2021 that left the walls looking new, the preparation one August 2020 customer credited for the finish. The company is based in Webster and covers Worcester and the towns around it, doing interior and exterior painting, cabinet refinishing and staining, and deck staining. It says Pamela Landry founded it in 2019 after more than 20 years of hands-on work in painting, masonry and commercial painting project leadership, and describes itself as woman-owned and owner-led. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #199091, is active in Pamela Landry's name. She turns up by name through the reviews. In a December 2024 review, a homeowner said she detailed the process for painting their kitchen cabinets and went room by room to talk through what they wanted — and that rather than upselling, she suggested ways to save money and time on areas that did not need painting. Timing shows up as often as craft: a July 2024 customer said the team came out the day after they closed on the house, on a weekend, and finished ahead of schedule so the move-in was not delayed. In a March 2024 review, a homeowner had old popcorn ceilings taken down and called the results some of the best ceilings they had ever seen. The newest accounts keep to the same shape. In May 2026 an exterior job came with a thorough contract setting out the specific options the customer had asked for, and in July 2026 another homeowner called the work communicative, professional and efficient. Two accounts run the other way, and they are worth asking about. A one-star review in December 2021 said the project was completely ghosted, the site left a mess, and false promises made for over 18 months. A two-star review in April 2022 called the company a bit pricey. For an interior repaint where the walls need work first, for kitchen cabinets, or for an exterior around Webster and Worcester, this is a crew whose customers talk about preparation and daily cleanup. Put the start and finish dates in the contract next to the colour and the prep scope, and ask who will be on your job.
