Ultimate Transitions Moving says it is a moving company based out of Rome, Maine that serves the entire state, and that it moves interstate when one end of the move is in Maine. A recent customer said Joe and his crew moved them to a new home, including several large carpentry equipment pieces, and the charges came out as quoted. A recent customer said Joe and his team worked more than 7 hours in extreme heat, up and down stairs, and brought blankets, tools and dollies. A 2025 customer said the company moved them from Maine to South Carolina, and after a tire came off the trailer their belongings were delivered the next day. A 2025 reviewer wrote that two companies declined to move a pool table and Ultimate Transitions Moving got it done. A 2025 customer said Joe and Glenn moved a washer and dryer in under 1 hour. A 2025 customer was quoted around $1,750 and said the final bill came to over $3,100, without being told ahead of time about additional charges, and reported a few dents and some missing hardware. That customer said they would still use the company again.
Would highly recommend and use them again. Most reasonable.
We recently had Joe and his crew move us to our new home. They were an incredibly polite, efficient, organized, fast group. They surpassed our imagination of how it would all work out as we had so much “stuff”-including several large carpentry equipment pieces. They were a great team to watch pack the trailer in the best possible scenario… and unpacking also worked out perfectly! Their charges that we were quoted came out perfectly .I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for a reliable moving company!
Joe & team were great! They arrived on time and worked hard for more than 7 hours in extreme heat -- and up and down stairs. They moved heavy furniture and breakable items all with ease. They brought blankets, tools, and dollies to assist with moving all types of items. And they were just all-around great people to work with! Thanks Joe!
Joseph and his partner were amazing, there were some hiccups using the elevator and moving from my apartment building which he navigated with ease and always had an amazing attitude. Would definitely recommend them
So much to say! Moving after 20 years in the same house is SO STRESSFUL! I made the mistake of filling out an online form to find a moving company and was inundated with over 50 phone calls, mostly from brokers across the country. I do my research and found that most of them had terrible ratings with the BBB and on google. I was so disheartened because I didn't know who I could trust. Who would hold my items captive until I paid some unexpected additional charge to the tune of a few grand? The only reputable companies I could find were asking close to 20K to move me from Maine to NJ. FINALLY I was referred (by another mover!!!) to Ultimate Transitions. From the first Call, Joe set me at ease. He was not a salesman. He was a regular guy running his own moving company right in Maine. He had an actual address and gave me his personal cell phone number. He preferred not to give me a real quote unless he first came out to meet us in person and walk through our home to take a true inventory of how much space we would need on his truck. He was a pleasure to work with and immediately convinced our hearts that he was trustworthy. In less than 48 hours after his visit, we had a contract. Not a quote. It was a solid number that would not change. Once accepted, he kept in touch with us all the way up to moving day. He took a deposit up front, and the rest was not due until after the move. He offered to give us more time to pay if needed (this is unheard of). His entire crew was SO careful with our stuff and moved everything through our home with great care so that walls were not scuffed and nothing was damaged. They showed up right when they said they would at the new house and kept in touch the entire way. During the unload they were so patient with us, we had to move an entire bed frame, box spring and mattress twice because there was a misunderstanding about which bed I wanted on which floor, and there were no attitudes, just a willingness to make it right and make sure we had what we wanted at the end of the day. After complete, Joe simply stated he would send us the final invoice, which we received a couple of days later. It was an AMAZING EXPERIENCE. Look no further. This is the company to work with, seriously. And I spoke with at least 18 companies. BEST PRICE, BEST SERVICE, BEST CARE. If I could give Joe and his crew 100 stars, I would.
