A 2026 customer said they called for a pump-out thinking the tank was backed up, and the driver said a pump was not needed; they sent a service truck, and the driver jetted the pipe from the tank back to the house and cleared the clog. A 2025 customer said they used the company twice to inspect the septic systems of homes they were thinking of buying, and that the reports were clear. A 2024 customer said they called on a Sunday afternoon, got a call back before 8am Monday, and within a couple of hours they located the tank and got everything flowing again. A 2022 reviewer whose childcare center had clogged pipes said Uncle Bob's was there within an hour of an after-hours call right before a holiday weekend. On r/vermont, a 2026 commenter said the company bailed them out when their septic failed a few years back. A 2025 customer said four calls over two months went unanswered, and that once a service date was set, the company did not call or show. Great experience with Uncle Bob’s Septic Service! The workers were very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. They did a great job pumping out my septic system and took the time to explain everything and provide an estimate for future work, including replacing an old cast iron pipe. I was fooled around for a week and still didn’t get the service I was promised
Had a great experience with them. I thought my septic tank was backed up called them for a pump out, the driver informed me I didn't need a pump and wasn't going to do a service that isn't needed. They sent out a service truck and the driver was super helpful he jetted my pipe from the tank back to the house and cleared the clog. Found the pipe to be in need of replacement due to rust. They got me back up and going and the driver gave honest feedback on how I should proceed and things I should do to prevent further issues down the road. Thank you!
Does this company have working answering machines? I have made 4 calls over the last 2 months and have yet to get a response. Do I have to send a singing telegram? smoke signals? Pigeon messenger? I just want my septic pumped before winter. UPDATE: I finally got in touch with them after this review and we set up a service date of 11/17. *drumroll please* they nocall/no showed. I texted them asking about the objective fault they were at and was met with "i will look into it and get back to you with a new service date and reason for missing the original." (Not exact words but the bones of it) I haven't heard from them since Thursday. I cant assume they are a crap company (lol puns) but God this is some crappy service. New rating is 1.7/5 stars 3/5 stars only because I've heard they generally do a good job with all things septic.
