In a September 2026 r/burlington thread, a commenter said they have used Vermont Energy Contracting for years and that it put in an on-demand water heater for them last year.
“I’ve used Vermont Energy Contracting for years and have always been happy with their work. They put in an on-demand water heater for me last year.”
“we used vermont energy (casey, i believe) and everything was as-expected/quoted.”

“said Michael Touchette, general manager of Vermont Energy, a heat pump dealer.”
““The last couple of weeks we’ve seen several cases where ice buildup has created some safety risks and shut the systems down, and people were without heat,” said the company’s Michael Touchette.”
We’ve worked with this team for over a decade and have always been impressed with their professionalism and knowledge. From the initial quote, it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. The equipment was well spec’d for our home, everything was explained clearly, and you could tell there were years of experience behind the recommendations. The install was just as impressive. High-quality work, clean and professional, and a crew that worked extremely well together. Everyone knew their role, communicated well, and genuinely seemed to enjoy working together. It’s exactly what you hope to see from a contractor working in your home. Extremely knowledgeable, professional, and consistently great service. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.
Vermont Energy Contracting did an exceptional job for us. The entire team, including Tim, Justin, Tony and Connor, was great in diagnosing the problem with our old boiler, assessing the needs, and then installing a new boiler. All were prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and skilled throughout. Communications with individuals and the front office were excellent. I highly recommend Vermont Energy Contracting.
I had a new boiler installed last month and the process was seamless. Peter (sales) provided a very timely quote with details of exactly what was included. Compared to two other quotes I received from other local companies, Vermont Energy was the most competitive. They quickly provided me an install date and the installation went well. Very courteous staff and left the place spotless. I had a minor adjustment done to the water temperature a few days after the install. This was done by Treff and Sam. Treff was super knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. He clearly explained the work he was doing and had everything working perfectly in a short period of time. I highly recommend anyone looking for a new boiler to reach out to Vermont Energy.
We needed to have our Heat Pump disconnected and stored safely in our home while an outdoor project was happening. Vermont Energy was terrific in every way. They were able to schedule us without much notice, they came early (which we appreciated) and it took less time than estimated, so it cost us less than we thought! Our tech Eric was very knowledgeable, polite, happy to explain things to us and overall competent and efficient. Kudos to Eric and all of Vermont Energy!
I have a heart issue, so when my AC failed on a very hot, humid day in August I was really worried. Vermont Energy Contracting had a full repair schedule, but Mike figured out a way to get it fixed within hours. Words cannot express how grateful my family and I are.
