VGK Painting is two people, and homeowners across the Cape write about them by first name: Vinny and Gisella, the pair who show up and do the work. The company runs out of East Falmouth and paints houses inside and out, a family-owned outfit as a December 2024 customer described it. What customers describe is more than paint. In a July 2024 review, the owner of a Cape house in Mashpee said Vinny replaced damaged trim and shingles and sanded the entire house before it was stained, and that Gisella cleaned up all the paint chips. An August 2024 job ran from pressure washing the exterior through repairing damaged trim, priming and painting the trim and shutters, and staining the cedar front; another review that month credits Vinny with saving second-floor windows by replacing the rotted sills. Cabinets come up repeatedly. A homeowner writing in March 2025 wanted an in-person estimate so there would be no miscommunication about the size of the job, got one promptly, and called the price fair; a December 2025 customer described cabinets painted by two people who arrived on time and kept the workspace clean. Pace shows up too — a whole house painted in four days in a February 2023 review, an exterior and deck in four days in May 2023. Price is usually settled against other bids. A customer who gathered five estimates in August 2022 picked VGK for the detail in its written proposal, noting that a couple of the other companies never put an estimate in writing; another, weighing three estimates in September 2025, said the price was a good one. Its Google page averages 4.8 stars across 19 ratings, and the written accounts run from 2021 to a July 2026 review in which a customer graded the team A+ for painting and staining a house. One account runs the other way: a two-star Google review from August 2021, in which the customer said the job took months, that they were nickel-and-dimed every step of the way, and that the front of the house needed another coat to look right. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active on the state registry. For a Cape house that needs its trim and sills repaired before the paint goes on, or a kitchen's cabinets redone, this is a straightforward call — a small outfit whose owners are the crew. Ask for the same kind of written proposal earlier customers describe, with the schedule and anything that could add to the price spelled out in it.
