Two hundred and fifty jobs, one man, and a running theme in what people hire him for: the thing in the house that stopped working and nobody else wants to look at. Vlad Pro Service is Vladimir Baybikov, working out of Medford and, by his own account, seven years at it. The service list runs long — TV and home-theater mounting, wiring and outlet repair, appliance install and repair, furniture assembly, closet systems, junk removal — but the recent jobs cluster tightly around appliances and electrical troubleshooting. One customer this month called him for a trash compactor, noting that few people even know them; he diagnosed it, came back with the part and the receipt. Another had a dryer that fought him, and he stayed until it ran, then waited to be sure. A third had him chase down why the GFCI and bathroom fans had lost power. What recurs across those accounts is unglamorous and useful: he turns up when he said he would, explains what went wrong, and prices it in a range customers describe as reasonable. One recent customer had booked a door sweep, was told she didn't need one, and had her light switch fixed instead — the kind of small honesty that tends to show up in this crowd of reviews more than once. Two things worth knowing before you call. The 4.9 average rests on 171 Thumbtack ratings and nothing else — no second platform corroborates it, and the star bar shows about 2% of those ratings are one-star, none of whose text is visible on the page. And Thumbtack currently lists him as unavailable for handyman work, so check whether he is taking jobs before you plan around him. The right call for small electrical faults, appliance installs and the fiddly repairs a general contractor won't schedule. Confirm availability, and get the price in writing up front — the reviews suggest he'll give you one.

Vlad was right on time and worked efficiently to install the air intake grille. He also explained the reasons for why I had trouble with it in the first place, and it's always hand to know that. Details: Less than 2 hours (Simple tasks) - Repairs - Installation - Home (Handyman)

Vlad showed up on time. Explained the problem and was able to determine issue quickly. Very few people are familiar with trash compactors. He knew exactly what he was doing. Returned with the needed part, with receipt. All work was done efficiently with very reasonable prices. I will definitely call Vlad again. Details: Whirlpool - Residential (Appliance Repair or Maintenance)
