Another had a dryer that fought him, and he stayed until it ran, then waited to be sure. A third had him chase down why the GFCI and bathroom fans had lost power. What recurs across those accounts is unglamorous and useful: he turns up when he said he would, explains what went wrong, and prices it in a range customers describe as reasonable. One recent customer had booked a door sweep, was told she didn't need one, and had her light switch fixed instead — the kind of small honesty that tends to show up in this crowd of reviews more than once. Two things worth knowing before you call. The 4.9 average rests on 171 Thumbtack ratings and nothing else — no second platform corroborates it, and the star bar shows about 2% of those ratings are one-star, none of whose text is visible on the page. And Thumbtack currently lists him as unavailable for handyman work, so check whether he is taking jobs before you plan around him. The right call for small electrical faults, appliance installs and the fiddly repairs a general contractor won't schedule.
