Wachusett Tree & Landscaping

Wachusett Tree & Landscaping is a Berlin, MA tree and landscape company at 57 Summer Rd, run by Kevin, that says it has been in business 25 years serving central and eastern Massachusetts with tree work, landscape construction and maintenance, snowplowing and 24/7 emergency tree service. The company says some employees hold commercial pest-control certification and horticulture or green-school credentials. On Google the company holds 5 stars from 7 ratings, and the four written reviews from 2023 to 2025 all describe the same thing: knowledgeable, communicative work at prices below larger outfits. A homeowner writing in August 2025 said Kevin's crew has worked at the property for 30 years and had just finished another efficient job at a lower cost than competitors. In 2024 a reviewer described a difficult trim hemmed in by a fence and a hillside, done on a 90-degree day. Two 2023 reviewers called the work honest at honest prices and credited the crew with tree removals, plantings and plant deliveries, saying the property was always left better than they found it. One item from the public record should be read plainly. Violation Tracker lists a $7,000 OSHA penalty against Wachusett Tree & Landscaping Service, Inc. for a workplace safety or health violation dated January 23, 2015, and a workplace-safety coalition's list of 2015 Massachusetts worker deaths names a 38-year-old Wachusett Tree employee on that same date in a caught-in-between incident. That is more than a decade old and predates every customer review here. For tree trimming, removals and planting on a residential lot, the people who hired them are consistent and specific in their praise. Ask what safety practices the crew follows on the job and confirm insurance before booking, and get the estimate in writing.
