WAIDA PAINTING & DECORATING

Hanging paper is what Waida Painting & Decorating leads with — wallpaper installation, plus custom interior and decorative painting, out of Needham. Dan Waida founded the company and owns it, and the company says he has been at the trade since 1986. bostonglobe.com listed the business under wallpaper and painting in February 2022, and under painting in a February 2019 listing. The written accounts all sit between 2015 and 2020, on HomeAdvisor, and they are about Dan himself rather than a crew. A February 2018 customer called him careful, meticulous and organized, said the pricing was fair and that he worked around their schedule. Speed shows up in several of those years: a 2016 customer said he met them on very short notice and got the job done quickly, and a September 2017 customer said he was available right away and finished their projects fast. A 2015 reviewer described him as a painter, tile installer and overall handyman. HomeAdvisor's profile lists interior painting and wallpaper installation, repair and removal, with 11 recent projects. One thing does not line up: that profile puts his experience at 47 years, while the company's own site dates his start to 1986 — worth asking him about if the length of the track record matters to you. A sensible call in the Needham area if you want paper hung, removed or repaired, or a decorative interior finish, by the owner rather than a rotating crew. Since the accounts of his pricing and turnaround date to 2017 and 2018, settle the quote and the schedule for your own job before work starts.
