Thumbtack Review: My Go-To Handyman! I recently hired someone through Thumbtack for a bunch of tasks around my place and, wow, did he deliver! Here’s a quick rundown: • What he did: Installed some super cool corner lights, mounted a heavy smart mirror (no easy feat!), put together a huge mobile closet, and even gave me a solid consult on a desk setup that had me scratching my head. • Quality of work: Beyond what I was hoping for. He mentioned he might need to cut into a door frame for one of the lights, which I was okay with. But guess what? He found a way to do it without any permanent changes. Color me impressed. • Flexibility: Life threw me a curveball, and I had to reschedule last minute because of Covid. He was super understanding and rescheduled without any hassle. • Why I’m writing this: Not only did he nail everything I asked for, but he also took the time to explain why some of my ideas might not be the best move structurally. It’s rare to find someone who’s not just about getting the job done but ensuring it’s done right and safely. If you’re scrolling through Thumbtack trying to decide on someone, stop here. You won’t regret it!

Tale came early when we had extra time and did an all-day job putting together a large Lovesac sectional and a tv stand. He was professional , hardworking, courteous and wanted the job perfect.

Tale assembled two floor cabinets from amazon and mounted two wall cabinets from cb2. I noticed while he was doing the work on the floor cabinets that the door colors didn't match -- entirely an issue with the veneer and the manufacturer's fault -- so Tale accommodated me by mixing up the doors after he'd already attached them to ensure the colors looked better together. When he mounted the units from cb2, we ended up having to shift the mounting hardware and reorient the cabinets to make the recessed handle more accessible to me. Tale was very patient and worked with me while we remeasured height and considered options. There were some slight difficulties in communication, but I was very happy with the work he did. I would certainly hire Tale again, especially given he RSVP'd quickly and came to my house on short notice, which was greatly appreciated.

Tale and his partner were very respectful and communicative. They switched out a floodlight, doorbell, and applied vinyl on my windows. For certain design decisions they made sure to ask me to make sure it was ok before proceeding. I’d hire him again.
