The South Deerfield company handles heating, air conditioning and plumbing; its website advertises heat pumps, boilers and 24/7 emergency service, with a service area including Northampton, Amherst, Deerfield and Agawam. Recent customers describe both maintenance and installations. One June reviewer said Larry serviced all the components of an air-conditioning system, left them clean and in good condition, and helped troubleshoot a water-heater issue that proved minor. Another said David quickly diagnosed and fixed an AC problem, then helped with additional AC units the customer had not called about. That customer specifically praised his explanations and advice on next steps. An August reviewer described new shower fixtures, a utility sink and a pumping system for laundry effluent, saying the work met the standards they had come to expect from the company. Cost drew a more qualified response. A July reviewer thought a repair was expensive, but said local competitors appeared similar. Their larger complaint concerned a Trane system installed in 2018: the compressor failed in 2025 and the evaporator coil in 2026. Western Mass is my go-to company for plumbing and hvac. Always top notch work, top notch service, I'd never consider hiring anyone else. This project included new shower fixtures, a utility sink, and a pumping system for laundry effluent and it was done to the same high quality standards I've come to expect from Western Mass.
Techs are always on time. Cost of repair seemed high but checking local competitors found similar information. My largest complaint is with Trane. I chose Trane because it was an industry leader. Our system was installed in 2018. The compressor failed in 2025 and the evaporator coil failed in 2026. Luckily, both high cost parts had a ten year warranty. Labor costs were not covered. Western Mass Heating Cooling and Plumbing provided excellent work in a timely manner. Tech Keval Williams was knowledgeable. I felt at ease knowing he was there.
We had new mini-splits installed including replacing some older units. The guys from Western Mass Heating & Cooling did a tremendous job and left the work site clean and tidy. Jordan fully explained the setup and answered all of our questions. After the install, Fana reached out to let us know about some discrepancies with the install and to let us know they were already on top of remedying the situations. That kind of service goes above and beyond and was truly appreciated. I would not hesitate to consider them for future HVAC work in the future.
Larry serviced our air conditioning system today He is personable and was very thorough in his work. He serviced all components leaving everything clean and in good condition. He also helped me troubleshoot a problem with my water heater that did not turn out to be anything serious I’ve use Western Mass Heating Cooling and Plumbing for 3 years. I trust their service and professionalism.
David very quickly assessed and fixed our AC problem -- and then helped with our additional AC units that I hadn't even called about. He was a wealth of knowledge and was great at explaining what he knew and advising on next steps. I'm new to the area and am pleased to have found the company I will call for future heating, cooling and plumbing needs!
